What a fucking effort that was, man.

The commentator has "never seen a bigger turnaround." 0-0 to 1-0 takes some beating tbf.
-
He's been rubbish every time he's played since Villa but he'll come good.
-
Not terrible. The team is lols so not gonna complain at the lack of swashbuckling. Fear we may run that missed chance. The state of Sandro Tonali, though. ? Look forward to him one day being not shit.
-
Stand corrected.

Amazing to read about the conduct of our fans. The away following really does seem to do the club proud. You're correct re the thread-making @Blade1889, but by all means stick around. Always good to have fans of other clubs about the place for those alternative perspectives.

I find it impossible to really dislike anyone involved with the day-to-day club these days: certainly no one on the playing staff. Tbh, that has been the case ever since Rafa turned the dressing room upside down in 2016, excluding some incidental frustrations during the Bruce days. I resented a few players in those days - the likes of Shelvey, Carroll, Hendrick - but ultimately I wasn't paying close enough attention to the matches and no longer rooting for the club, so it was mostly ambivalence or a bit of "go on, son," towards those who weren't afraid to call a spade a cunt. It's remarkable just how long the playing staff has been mostly likeable but last season was the best it's been in years and years. Every one just a cracking lad, with some absolute diamonds among them. I dunno if there's been a better bloke play for us in my lifetime than Dan Burn, like. Trippier, Schar, Longstaff, Wilson, Bruno... all of them - they're just absolute belters. And so far, Gordon is just as deserving imo. He's committed as hell and comes across very well off the pitch.

Turns out Staveley is in Gordon's DMs even more regularly that she's in wor Stifler's!

Dubravka Tino Lascelles Burn Hall Tonali Ritchie Anderson Almiron Murphy Isak Not kidding re Ritchie. We can't play Longstaff in this; he's far too important and we'll need him in for Burnley. Chuck Hall in instead if necessary. Burn needs minutes at CB if he's Botman's deputy. Was horrendous against Brighton so needs to get the feel of it again, after playing nothing but LB for 12 months. I think the front three more-or-less picks itself.

And in an 11-a-side team, like what they both played in?

Nice one, @PauloGeordio

I'm honestly not sure. I just never use/updated my Twitter app further to all of Musk's changes, so whenever I share a link from it, it pastes with the old-style URL (which our forum will embed).

That's cos I'm editing your posts with a Twitter link as opposed to an X one!

Am I the only one who liked him from the word go? Not that I thought his performances were exceptional but I thought he came across well (impassioned Brentford flounce aside) and had some canny games - Man Utd (h) springing immediately to mind.
-
Seem to recall he was another on Bruce's radar at one point?
-
I quite like Pep. Of all of the characters across the entire ESL cast, he's generally the most likeable.

Is that a shoe to the right of him?

He isn't even the best CB in the team currently for me. Tbh at this point I can't remember enough about Woodgate to directly and fairly compare him to someone I've recently seen play ~50 times. Woodgate was obviously brilliant because we were a different team with him in it and he ended up moving to Real Madrid, but Sven has the potential to be one of the best in the business.

Sandro Tonali - Spurs have £80m bid rejected by NUFC (SSN)
Yorkie replied to The Prophet's topic in Football
Credit to the supporters yesterday for giving his name so much time in the overall chanting, including when he was off the pitch. He's had a slow start all told so that sort of adulation was really timely. -
I think his beaming smile after his goal yesterday might have been my favourite moment, in an afternoon of so many great moments. For a T-800 he's really mastered smiling, just proves that he's a different breed. You get the impression that he absolutely loves it here. Absolutely brilliant signing.
