For the money, has to be up there with one of the best buys ever.

Tiote is immense. That is all.

Feel sorry for the supporters, some of the most comitted in the land. Apart from TTWTB.
-
With the contract running down fear, I don't think they'll get more than 30m for him tops.
-
Ha ha...

Man U have paid £487m in interst payments since the Glazers arrival.

If you're going to play 2 wide full blown wingers, then people need to get into the box. We seem to be playing it half cocked. I started a thread about playing 2 forwards at home and we just have to do that. There is really no poiint holding back at home, the rest of the side isn't good enough for any fancy stuff.

There's no getting away from the fact that he is doing a decent job, but survival may require other things going our way.

Playing at the highest level since he was 17 has started taking its toll on his body I suspect.

Freudian slip hee hee..

The thing is if we're struggling in Dec, MA will sack Ashley and then we can start worrying about the replacement. I don't think MA wants another relegation, it's just that last time he didn't honestly understand the PL that well and probably couldn't imagine us going down till it was too late. We might not have invested that much in the summer, but the transfers/loans were good and better than I expected, things are moving back in the right direction reg the squad.

As much as I rate hughton and don't want him replaced, my loyalty might be tested if we had the chance to get Martin o neill. You're kidding right?

11 December and 30 April. Shame we aren't playing them sooner, I'd really fancy it. The whole side looks drained.

Would improve his game if he played in Spain for a few seasons.

What position and how much? Have to admit I was happy and impressed with Summer transfer window, felt like some real shrewd business - can't knock the board for it all. Certainly not compared to past board efforts of showing our hand all the time, and then having to bluff our ways out only to go all in and lose. Losing the creativity and nouce of Barfra has been a real blow. He gave us that bit of unpredictability which in his short spell you could see worried other sides. Ideally an AM/F type.

He's a really good player and will get better. I haven't seen anything wrong with him at all. Does what it says on the tin and can even break forward at pace when he fancies it.
-
Really think we need one more in Jan if we are going to make a proper go at surviving.

It's clear now it has to be Shola and Carroll at home. There is something wierd about Shola this season I get the feeling he'll score when he comes on, never really felt that before.

Massively important point too apparently. Against a very good side too apparently. The only good thing to come of yesterday is the fact Wigan didn't get three points. His post match nonsense is really concerning. I'm still primarily in the give Hughton time camp. But what worries me other than the usual tactical oversights (which most managers make every w/e anyway) is his distinct lack of charisma and dour work hard in training approach. It can get you only so far, there is a lot to be said about managers who can get the players to play above themselves (and with some CH has done this - Carroll/Williamson), but I have doubts about his ability to lift the whole side and make them believe the impossible is possible, cause that's what it takes at this level to survive when you are short on quality ammo. Still time.

I haven't seen anything today. What did he say ? Doesn't know how they lost. Then went on to ask the interviewer how many games Liv had lost as he's forgotten. Totally Parkied.

Good idea.

Should really have been finding his feet in the reserves, but RB has been a crisis postion hence he's already got so many games. The strange thing is he has all the physical attributes for a good RB, but not the mind.

Has been very good recently. It always takes exotic players from slower leagues time to adjust in the PL. Collo is now the player we paid for and could ne the differance this season at the back. Plays some nice passes ocassionally as well. Dare I say it - cultured.
