  1. I doubt it. Mourinho was discussed and rejected for the very reasons Benny wouldn't get the job. Source? My Spanish mate. Their ideal manager would be Wenger closely followed by Van 'change the system every game' Basten. Who I'm tipping.

  3. True. But you're allowed to play football in La liga...If you know what I mean...In the PL you have to win the right first. Hats off to him for getting Torres mind. Bold move.
  4. Cause he starts calling and arguing with his bosses from day one the fat hippie tached wanker...
  5. YOu just make it up don't you? He will never be Barca manager cause his football is the most boring shit in Christendom....
  6. Mate was it you saying Van Persie would be top scorer this year?
  7. Rafael Benitez last night demanded an immediate showdown with Liverpool's American co-owners and said he felt his position had been "undermined" following revelations of chief executive Rick Parry's presence in a meeting with Jurgen Klinsmann. Having steered a delicate course through the Anfield civil war, Benitez broke cover following his side's 3-1 victory over Blackburn yesterday and stressed his urgent need for answers over the club's approach to Klinsmann and desire to get feuding co-owners Tom Hicks and George Gillett together in the same room as Parry. Crisis? Rafael Benitez wants an urgent meeting with his bosses "It was a surprise to read about some meetings," Benitez said. "I need to talk with the board and clarify the situation and I want to do that as soon as possible. I was surprised with the people that were in the meeting. "It's not the first time I knew about the meeting, but about the people that were in the meeting. I feel my position is being undermined and that is why I want to clarify the situation. "I need to speak to all of them, preferably all at the same time. They were in a meeting together, so I need to know something more. I will ask some questions." Probably thinks it's safe to lash out a bit now....

    Gallas

Another one that backs my personal theory that the haircut makes the man.

    Gallas

    Only slightly better than Geremi.
  10. Good enough to what? Win it? We don't have enough match-winners to grab us points we don't deserve. The Liverpool figures are way off, and include £16m or more of Houllier's spending. 8 or 9 of Fergie's squad pre-date Rafa's arrival at Anfield, 5 of ours do. Fergie's been able to pay a higher average price to get the players he wants. The prices are relative and mean nothing. Liverpool have some of the best or if not as good players in the top 4. Liv have struggled scoring in some away games cause the Benny system is too conservative (all the arm waving aside).
  11. He's not saying he's bigger than the club.
  12. Apart from the fact Smith & Duff dont start. Also we have better players than them two in there positions. I dont think we have any better centre backs than Taylor & Faye. My view is just like Smith and Duff were rated way above their contribution, so is Taylor. I am pretty sure Cacapa would dovetail nicely with Faye, as would Rozenhal IMO. WUM? To be fair, i happen to think that Cacapa and Roz may still have a role in the team, Roz especially, i think he was unlucky and suffered from a series of unfortunate circumstances and bad man management. Cacapa for me is still a good defender as well, although too weak, Roz however isnt weak contrare to popular belief and lost alot of confidence which effected his performances. how can you say he's a good defender then say he's too weak [for a central defender] Because he is a good defender, he has good attributes minus the strength, put him in any other league and he'd be fine, its just this league is too physical for him. Strength is an attribute just like pace, if a defender has no pace does that make him a bad defender as well? Man you really dont know much about football do you? Have you ever played football? strength is imperative for a central defender in the premiership ? You say I know nothing about football ? haha. class that like Wow, not only did you miss the entire point of the post, you didnt answer the question/s. Now there is a surprise. Just because he's not the strongest, it doesnt make him a bad defender, do you understand? Just like Shearer wasnt the quickest.... Take it you never did play football then, trust me, you'd understand it a little more if you had, different perspective etc etc You know nowt about me, I think you know nowt about football, you certainly understand very little about the potential of Newcastle United. Garth Crooks played football, and he was a good player, so are you saying he knows what he's talking about Hit a sore point there then. Sorry... Mourhino couldnt even make it as a pro, does that mean he hasnt used his experience and perspective of football to his advantage.....this game could go on for a long time. To say that a defender or a player is crap becasue he lacks a certain attribute to his game sounds a bit blindsighted to me. Basically what im saying is that you're wrong. I'm not wrong. You're not in the real world. A central defender who lacks strength, in this country, is no use to you. I thought that had been made clear regarding the PL over the last few years.
  13. So you HONESTLY believe they lost the champions league game and the premiership because of injuries and nothing else? Ok lets take a look at it, Diaby = Wouldnt have been in the first 11 Denilson = Wouldnt have been in the first 11 Eduardo = Wouldnt have been in the first 11 Rosicky = First 11 Van Persie = First 11 So they lost an Attacking midfielder/lm and a 2nd choice striker from their usual starting 11. Near enough every other premiership team can complain about the exact same thing tbh To be fair, Eduardo was on fire leading up to the Birmingham game. He has been a huge loss to them this season. Eddy would have figured yes.
  14. IMO Wenger is in a different league to Benny and always will be.
  15. Its not a nice place. Birmingham city centre and its ameneties and attractions have been completley revitalised in the last few years and make its centre as good as anywhere, but the signs of urban decay and division of the communities in the suburbs including Aston make it a horrible place imo. Aston University isn't in Aston, it is in the city centre, brilliant location (just PMed you, Chris) All big cities have rundown areas, and Aston is certainly that. There are lots of suburbs like Sutton, Solihull, Harborne, Edgbaston which are anything but run down. But that's a different topic Edgbaston is lovely. Used to live there.
  16. Leeds iirc had a fair few campaigns of this type in the 90's inc taking a larger role in community football and giving trials to Asian players. iirc Harpal Singh was one of the products of this initiative. I have some friends in Aston and one of them has played (Jasvinder) for your U21/ Youth setup and still can boast to be the only player airlifted out of a game at Villa Park (horrific knee injury). I could always see this kind of thing working in your neck of the woods. Good sound people.
