  1. I had high hopes so fucking what? Isn't hindsight a wonderful thing?
  2. I had high hopes so fucking what?
  3. So you thought a manager who had been out of the game for 3 years would have identified transfers before coming here? That's what you are virtually saying because managers identify targets before the window, not during and Keegan in all fairness probably wasn't doing that as he wasn't in management. Are you really saying a club our size had no idea or shortlist or targets or dossiers on anybody when KK arrived?? I don't believe it. And if that was the case hiring a manager like KK at that time can be seen as nothing other than a gamble whatever the underpinning sentiments.
  4. JumboTron keeps going on about hindsight.
  5. Fair enough, but if we rate him, it might have made sense to get him in in January. He would have added another option for the sake of a couple of million. The morale boost alone would of been worth it. Terrible decision to offer peanuts, especially when they had fuk all else in their sights since KK has been living in Narnia for the last 3 years.
  6. We will lose away to B'ham. That is now the real worry.
  7. The point he had 9 days? Fuck me. He had half the window. If he didn't know what he was doing he should never have been made manager of a club who desperately needed to sign players. This is what I mean when I talk about people armed with shitloads of hindsight. OP date 11th of Jan. That's some hindsight. mackems.gif

  9. I'll discuss it if we go down. Until then it's a moot point. Whether we go down or not from this point on will have very little to do with what Ashley & Mort do now. That is in the hands of the manager, the players, and the other teams in the scrap. It is the decisions they have already made which have put us in the position where relegation is a distinct possibility. It's like saying it's okay to drink drive if you don't kill anyone. The decisions at the start of the season were cautious, which was understandable if frustrating for us as supporters. The decisions in January were high risk, showed a lack of understanding of the seriousness of the situation, and are deserving of criticism whatever the outcome. Keegan had 9 days to try and sign players in the transfer window. importantly, players that he wanted. At that point relegation was not on the radar and the decision was made to wait till the summer to get genuine targets which was sensible what we are seeing now is people coming out of the woodwork armed with a shitload of hindsight, now that we have failed to pick up points. 9 days? 16th Jan, window closed on 31st, long 9 days.

I said it was a mistake all through the Jan window tbf (to me). However the risk taken firing SA at that point, compounded with bringing in a manager who would have little clue who to buy and had been out of the game for some time is as far as risk goes very high...I can't think of any higher or 'riskier' approach.

  12. Makes you wonder why we made an offer in the first place then? Baffling? We might have had some need for a player who can beat a man?
  13. I see you've got the idea. Well done. mackems.gif
  14. Rubbish. The fault is the man who employed Souness followed by Roeder followed by Allardyce. If Shepherd had employed a top European manager after Robson, to take over an excellent group of players, we would have moved forward and upwards. Instead, Souness was given the job. Got any VHS on the cheap mate?
  15. The way you cover all bases with the first sentence. You see people like me just said is was a mistake and stuck to it.
  16. Fair enough. I'll be buying a sniper rifle.
  17. You love having it both ways innit?
  18. If we go down it is Mort and Ashley's fault no one else's. Discuss.

    Always a good sign.
  20. Basically it's a given that you don't sack a manager in the Jan window.
