Sam is laughing so hard cause unbeknown to Mort he has just offerred £26m for Ballack.
-
I'd much prefer someone who played the armchair midfield role.

....and they are both fiddling nervously or holding thier mobiles penis extenions...Juju not good. I'm only kidding about the body language psychology bullshit, my missus watches too much big brother, i think i'm picking up bad habits! I won't be happy till their holding each others mobiles.

Sven probably told that Thaksin bloke that if he spent £100m he would get a British passport.

Keegan walked because he was against the club becoming a PLC and refused to extend his contract bacause of it. Keegan had told the board that he planned on stepping down at the end of the season, because the club were becoming a PLC they were told that Keegan's future at the club would have to be made more clear as they could be in trouble if they knew he planned on walking at the end of the season while the company was about to be floated, they called him to a meeting where they offered him a new contract and told him he either had to sign it or go now instead of the end of the season. He walked. Thats one explanation. Pretty sure it was a bit like that but the management of the situation was piss poor. We had a semi-successful manager and we fucked it up. I think he would have continued on his terms 'the gentlemans agreement', but his hand was forced.

Sam is an Alpha male and he wants more control and it will take time for him and Mort to dovetail. The press are feasting on what few crumbs they have picked up from SA's comments about the transfer market. In the scheme of things he is a bit of a whiner....I don't beleive for a minute that there is no money and that transfers won't happen. I really don't. I have had the odd twitchy morning, but it goes against all common sense to not at this moment re-build the defence. Mort himself has been quoted as saying it needs addressing.

Why did Keegan walk away? It was purely to do with his contract. iirc he was on a rolling one per year (gentleman's agreement) and the new bods wanted him to sign something more formal. EDIT: What Baggy said.^^^^

cacapa signed for a club from Qatar today link? I thinnk he signed 2/3 days ago.

It looks like a classic 3 pints at lunchtime no idea what to write....Make up shit...story.
-
At the price and considering his age and the fact he's come through the ranks at PSG it's a no brainer..BUY BUY BUY!!! If the story is true of course.
-
He has repeatedly stated over the last few years he no longer has an interest in the game.

SA is good enough at cajoling players to a club. Really don't understand the KK role, he isn't technical/tactical/or a planner enough for a DOF and has had no interest in the game for the last 3/4 years as he admits himself. THis is little more than pr spin...Journo's having a laugh. Will never happen. I'm not talking about "cajoling players", I'm talking about convincing the owners to stump up the cash. Read the post, Parky. I wasn't aware there was a 'stumping up cash' issue. In the short term with new owners who are football lite, there will be teething issues of course but I don't invisage it to continue, we certainly don't need ' a special person' to come and babysit them everytime we want to buy a player..Nonsense. Thread title is DOF not Keegan offers phonesex to possible transfer targets to get them to sign. Your last line might make sense if I'd said that it was to do with attracting players to the club. I didn't though. Although Keegan could definitely do that too. As for there being an issue with stumping up cash - we don't know, do we? Allardyce himself has been quoted as saying that the new blokes know nothing about football so he is having to educate them about what he's doing and why he needs to do what he's doing etc. What harm could it do to have an ally in the DOF position doing that sort of stuff for him? That's right. None. Circus looking for ringmaster.

The thisness. ....what do people expect for us to say we have loads of cash charge what you like?

Better than decent as what? As a striker? He's not good enough Gemmill. I'd rather see Carroll get chances when three of our strikers are out injured (purely as a temporary stand in for the moment). I don't think he showed all that much as a midfielder. He soon learned that just 'getting stuck in' wasn't enough in today's game. He can fill in as either tbh. And I think we're all getting a bit carried away with Carroll, as we usually do with young lads who come into the team and show some promise. I don't anticipate seeing a great deal from him next season. Smith would give us options in both midfield and up front. And I don't understand how that could be a bad thing. I think he's a decent player. Yeah cause Fergie normally buys and plays average players. mackems.gif Great littel competitior and with a winning mentality and can fulfill two roles. I'm all for it. ....and def are coming... blueyes.gif blueyes.gif blueyes.gif

Gudj has a semi-serious knee injury. Smokescreen, innit? Deco was the smokescreen apparently....But who knows..

Lets be honest about this, there is not many teams where he wouldn't walk straight into the first team, granted he's on his last legs but he still possesses the abolity to terrorise defenders! As parky said, now with him getting older and losing pace and the like he is more of a playmaker and cuts inside a lot but he's still a nightmare for any defender, and i thought Carr closed him down well!! Granted it will be a different story with Ronaldo coming against him but to say Nedved isn't quality is bollocks IMO. Back on Carr though i still reserve judgement for the time being, thats only a couple of games!! a nightmare for any defender? that would make him the best attacker in the world just about. The guy has vision and superb passing ability left. That might make him a nightmare for Ramage or Huntington but real defenders will allow themselves that extra glass a bourbon the night before mackems.gif

Pressed the wrong button. He comes inside more now and is more playmaker not winger.
