I heard they painted the eggs with black and white stripes first.

Did he keep going on his mobile between questions and pretent to be negotiating for players?
-
Because a players value goes up if they perform well over a season? plenty had him under-valued to the tune of 50% when he arrived, swings and roundabouts tbh £3m in a year? doubt it. In fact, who has ever left NUFC for a profit, let alone £3m in a year? It doesn't matter what people thought of him when he first came here, if he improves his consistency over next season then he's likely to get a few clubs interested in him, why make it easy for a club to potentially take him off our hands on the cheap? The higher the min clause the better that way you can't lose. On the continent star players have ridiculous min release clauses and if Martins had gone there him min release clause would have been at €30 euro or summat.....But that doesn't mean if you want rid you wouldn't accept a lower offer. The higher min release clause is there to protect the club. The case with Oba I suspect is that HE insisted on the clause as a way of escaping to another PL club after one or two impact seasons here.

Have you seen much of him mate? What do you think of him? Yes I seen Dragutinovic several times and Dragutinovic is very good player.I think that He is better than Babayaro but He is too old for us for this price! Man City offerred €4m I read somewhere. Our offer will be in the same region I should imagine.
-
...and boro offerred him £70k apparently.

TBF Vic neither club has any real debt.
-
Aye but those threads are likely to be locked as one was today.
-
I'd like to see him as part of a front 3 with Vid and Owen.
-
....and you may well be right dear fellow. :parky:

The Smith signing will prove to be as inspired as the Geremi one.
-
Agreed Mick. I'd like to add that they are a lot more postive on the ball and less indescisive.

Mort is a decent fella and he will be the first to hold his hand up and say he has let Sam down a bit. But it is clear he is a fast learner and a top pro in his own field which will help sort us out behind the scenes. I agree it will take time to gel and as you said last week Sam is a bit of a whiner. We have a billionaire owner and imo the 3rd strongest manager in the league with plenty of fight in him. Come on!
-
....add to that Carroll and Troisi looking like they will be the dogs in a couple of years.
-
Come on let's ave it!!
-
Honestly picking on a black man for your 'white boy' laughs. Dissapointed.
-
Agreed, especially if this free transfer that's supposed to be coming in as CB is shite. Only if we don't get the def. We will see. I can't imagine Sam is sacrificing the def for the sake of Smith.
-
Goodish purchase I've got no real reservations and we're just going to have to go with Sam's calls without having real behind the scenes knowledge of what is going on or indeed what he wants for his formations.

If I had to choose which one to lose I'd rather keep N'Zogbia. Still has a long way to go, sure, but I'd have more hope of him becoming a key player for us than I would for Duff. Duff quality of performance dipped every passing season at Chelsea and was even worse when he came here. Sure he's still good, but looks to be going in the wrong direction as a player these last few years. Perhaps Allardyce can have him rediscover his best form, I hope so. But his best assett has always been his quickness, by which I mean his ability to change direction quickly and beat a couple of players rather than flat out pace. His delivery is generally quite poor, meaning that if he's not skinning defenders regularly then he'll not give you much from the wing. As he gets older he's not likely to get any quicker, and I'm not sure he'll ever be the top winger he was at Blackburn. N'Zogbia has a ways to go, but he's got all the tools to surpass Duff as a player within a year or two. Wish we'd just keep them both, though. Nearly always I'd keep the younger player as long as there isn't a huge gulf in quality and in this case there isn't.
-
Don't know how you can be quick to dismiss N'Zogbia whilst being happy having Duff as first-choice left-winger. Because a fully fit Duff is one of the best wingers in this league and is a proven performer, N'Zogbia is yet to play a full season for one reason or another in the prem. Potential is all well and good, but Duff has proven Champions League class. Sure he has performed well at times, but he is so overrated by sum fans its untrue. Would seem to me also that N'Zogbia is one of the players Butt was talking about at the end of last season saying they were'nt that bothered in playing for the club, get rid and get some one in who does. I'd be the same way if I had to play for Roeder. You play for the shirt. If I was manager and you had that attitude I would take you to one side in the dressing room and bonk your face off in front of the entire squad to send out a stark message to the players. The message of love?

This Matt Scott is another FINANCIAL WRITER those who I have already warned against in the Martins for sale thread. They all have scores and their paymasters with regarding Ashley's clever side stepping of the city and the profits he eeked out.

Please delete more utter rubbish. >

If you take a moment and think Sam stood firm at the £5m for Dyer price for essentially a one legged crock....We're hardly going to agree to £3m for one of the best prospects in the PL.
-
Just waiting for the Owen (made up story) train to pull out of its 28th station.

This is utter rubbish.

People who want to do the transfer talk on Zoggy please migrate to the other thread.
