Have we spent big or did I miss summat? Still with the reading issues.

I'll apologise if we sign Chiellini. Christ you don't want much do you?

Well, we don't have anyone on the right hand side, and when I saw him for Brazil he played on the right, so there is my guess. Corradi might have scored a few but we've not played owt decent, he' still shite. So do I. Just had a punt on them finishing in the top 6, but not at Tottenham's expense I hope! Our team is shaping up a little like this: Isaksson Richards Corluka Dunne Ball Elano Johnson Fernandes Petrov Bianchi Bojinov(?) Hart, Onuoha, Garrido, Ireland, Mpenza Which looks pretty good on paper. But there's so much new blood, I think we're going to start slowly. Can't see us cracking the top 6. Yes you've signed Elano as I predicted yesterday. Apology in post?

I've watched this lot for 48 years and this is exactly why we win nowt We have this death wish were we spend money on forawds (why the hell do we need Smith for example when we have Owen, ameobi. luque & martins) and "make do" in defence year in , year out the same "exciting" matches when we get beat 3-2 or 5-4 we need CLASS in all parts of the field AT THE SAME TIME Totally agree Robindra.

Baines, Shorey, Bridge? Any of them would have more impact than Smith for £6m. Bridge is going to play on crutches is he? Didn't realise Bridge was never going to play football again, sorry. But surely a move for Bridge would then raise the arguement among suporters - "why are we buying injured players??" - Much like when Edmilson was reported as being a target (and may still be a future signing). Seems that the manager is damned if he does, and damned if he doesn't by many!! Edmilson is much more of a gamble than Bridge imo. Bridge is alongside the best LB's in the Country. Edmilson is unknown in this league and was going to cost a fortune, was a huge gamble am glad we didn't take up on. I'd rather go for this Cacapa, sounds a much better player (we need leaders (especially Taylor)) if he stays fit. 2/3 years ago I would have been over the moon with Cacapa...But he wasn't so good last year iirc But he is still decent although it will take a few months for him to bed into the pace and physicality of the PL. I think we should leave Edmilson well alone this is his second knee op IN TWO YEARS. Much better perhaps to have a look at THIAGO MOTTA who was transfer listed this week. His knee operation was planned and it was to clean up what they left last time, it's not as if he broke down with another serious injury. He's better than Motta too. I just like to stay away from players with knee ops....Little thing I know.

I seriously wonder how people have doubts about Smith...We're not going to play like Brazil and he is totally a SA type grafter with a bit of nous and will chip in with goals.

Out of our options i'd go: Geremi...Taylor...Rozenhal...Drago If Cacapa is move of a lightweight defender then there is no point putting him alongside Rozenhal who's of similar style. Beginning to fill out nicely.

Article Mort: We’ll back Sam all the way Previous 1 2 Debts have to be reduced NEWCASTLE United must reduce their debt insists Chris Mort. But the United chairman insisted the club would not suffer from any cost-cutting exercises. United’s debt is believed to be in the region of £80m and Mort insisted: “This is higher than we expected and one of our aims is to get it down. It has got too high for the club to support and it is our intention to reduce it. “But this is part and parcel of the game and it is part of our managing of the club to make sure we get this right. But I cannot think of any area where we are cutting costs or reducing our investment in the club. “However, it doesn’t make sense to let the debt run away with itself which it has in the last couple of years. But hearts were in the right place as people tried to bring in players they thought were right for the club.” Story continues ADVERTISEMENT While the fans are clamouring for new faces, Mort revealed that a lot of work has been going on at the club’s training ground which has already cost £8m to establish and which is recognised as one of the best in Europe. He added: “We have brought in a new backroom staff and spent a bit of money on our training ground facilities to get our players fit. “We have invested a lot of money on improving our medical facilities to make sure our assets are not in the treatment room but our on the pitch.”

Old bald bloke no pace, built like a twig. First tackle out for 10 weeks.

Ginge and fatty are going to bore us....We're going to end up like Everton.
-
Not sure what record he's setting straight...You bought a football club and you want to make it work? Gosh....What next...YOu've invented the wheel?
-
It's all too workmanlike we're gonna die of boredom. I want sexy players who get caught drinking beer at 4 in the morning but skin 3 def the next day at the match.
-
Well ugly players just aren't very good.
-
Too clean cut. Bit boring in bed, doesn't take his socks off.

It's an unwritten rule that Aussies aren't sexy. Still holding a torch for a certain Mr Ginola? I bet you broke your nose and had your hair waved just to be like him! Unless your a babba stabba? Ginola certainly has something about him. He smoked fags as well.

Motta is available cause of Yaya Toure has taken his place in the first 11. **Also I can' really see where they're going to play Deco.
