There's gaps in our midfield that makes me think Nolan is playing! One plus point, if we get the next goal they'll brick it.

This collo experiment hasn't worked for me. If Pards has been watching the same game as I have then he needs to take Saylor off (agree with earlier post which said his introduction unsettles the defence), move colo back to where he should be and bring Raylor in and move Barton in to the middle so he can influence the game more. Hate the thougt of giving these c**ts 3pts to help them stay up!

I'm not expecting Pards to give away his tactical masterplan that he's been hatching to tear wolves apart (like we did with stoke!..ahem!) but what are the bets that if Guthrie is starting he'll be played on the right and not in the middle?!!!

Twas April 30th 1988. Playing Oxford Utd at home. Won 3-1. Can't remember much about the actual game itself but we won which all that mattered to this 10yr old! Don't remember who scored but checking the stats it was Lormor, O'Neill and Goddard. Remember getting some autographs from the players as the got out their cars (with sponsorship details emblazoned on the sides!) behind the Milburn Stand. My dad took me and we stood in the Milburn paddock right across from the away fans. No pishy family enclosure for us!:-) If I can recall they were already relegated so had banners with stuff like 'good luck in the 2nd division' etc. My main memory apart from those of my dad who's no longer with us is being in absolute awe of the madhouse which was the Gallowgate end. Always used to say when I grew up that's where I wanted to be!

Thanks. Not that I'm saying the decision to renew is purely dependant on it but it would be nice to see some indication of the direction in which the club is moving before signing up. I suppose the good thing is if the summer is full of false promises we can tell them to shove it next Feb.

I know I'm probably opening myself up to loads of abuse but I actually rate Lovenkrands despite 'indifferent' performances this season. I think we came up from the fizzy poppers and was surprised at how good Carroll was so we played a style to suit that individual. Carroll was so dominant in the air that if he didn't stick his nonce on it and score, he would pull a couple of defenders with him and the ball could fall to Nolan for a tap in etc. I just don't think we've got anyone who is nearly as aerially strong as AC was. Suppose I'm trying to defend the forwards and say the midfield should shoulder some responsibility if our forwards aren't scoring goals.

Fuck Fuck Fuck!!! Just logged on to internet. So this actually happened then and I wasn't just having a really bad nightmare?! Pardew can take a run and jump...his post match excuses were laughable and his apology was about as sincere as a politicians.

They deserved the win more than we did which is something I feel sick typing when talking about a League 2 team! At least bbc will have something else to add to their FA cup title sequence instead of "that goal". We're gonna get reminded of this at every opportunity.

We're fucked now. Was optimistic we'd get one goal after watching the first half. Can't see this lot scoring two.

Excuse my ignorance on such matters but when does the referee hand in his match report? If the ref wanted to be a devious little bastard could he not watch the highlights on telly, then add the incident into his report?

I'd be a tad pissed off at Barton should he decide to tuck tail and run. He owes us big time and a handful of great performances this season doesn't clear that debt..... now if the powers that be decide to cash him in that's another matter....
