Modric is so fucking good
-
Just put a bet on Switzerland to win right before the goal
-
Quite looking forward to this game. Should be canny atmosphere there.

Similar with Harry Kane, and it does my head in for some reason.

Where did this all go wrong btw Well Moyes was shit. Doesn't mean I'm not going to back every manager we get. Still said I didn't want Mourinho when we appointed him like, but he's the boss now, and therefore Mourinho is the man. The fuck is this? Thank fuck the sackpardew lads didn't think like this.

I feel like this is a good time to remind us that Froggy for the longest time kept telling us that Cleverley was, or at least was going to be, absolute class.
-
If you've ever needed to say "it's just a bit of craic", then you should probably be looking at taking said craic elsewhere.

It's really strange, isn't it? Welbeck excellent ffs

Nobby > the rest of them put together.

Nah. I don't. But aye in the Van Gaal reign we spent roughly £135m on players, not hundreds of millions, and finish 5th. Pretty disappointing. Newcastle spent £93m in the same period and got relegated. It's not the end of the world for us. Martial £36m of that and is a star. Schneiderlin £26m of that and is a starter. Shaw is £27m of that and a star who got his leg broken. Educate yourself man Herrera is class like. Had a couple of injuries but made over 70 apps in two years. Di Maria got injured, then yapped and couldn't handle that Young pushed him out of the time. Then we got £47m for him. Anything else? For the amount you paid for Herrera two years ago, you should be hoping he was one of the best midfielders in the league. He isn't. Why in the fuck would you compare to Newcastle? If that's your standards, then aye, you've done well Think you'll notice that no one mentioned net spend, so what you got back for players is irrelevant. You spunked away 255 millions in two years under Van Gaal according to transfermarkt.

I know; it's absolute shite.

Love justifying a price tag with the fact that he played a bunch of games. Aye, that Colback lad was a great transfer, he played almost all the games, doesn't matter that we got relegated because of it. Edit: or just see above

Fuck this thread

Nice cherry-picking. You've overpaid on a ton of players the last few years, plenty of them not even getting in your team. http://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/manchester-united/alletransfers/verein/985 Look at the fucking state of some of that, man. Who are you talking about exactly? Bebe, Falcao and maybe Jones but injury is at fault there. Suppose you could say Bastian as well but again, injury. A lot of people say about Depay but he's 22 and played over 40 times in his first season. So aye. What? Di Maria? Herrera?

Coutinho pure loves that shot like. Really would have thought defenders should have learnt to never allow him space around that area.

Casemeiro suspended for the last game

Something about Mike and supporting Liverpool. Coutinho scores for Brazil.

Paul Dummett is a better left back than Sissoko is in whatever position he thinks he plays. All 3 keepers, Mbemba, Lascelles, Dummett, Townsend, Mitrovic are all better in their positons. The fact it's not more is a damning assessment of our dreadful recruitment rather than any olive branch to Moussa Sissoko. That's why Dummett can't make the Wales squad and Sissoko can make the French one. I'm not convinced Dummett is even much better a left back than Sissoko based on his few games there this season. Lascelles, who I really like played about ten games and couldn't get in the Forest team last season IIRC. Townsend I think is better than Sissoko. Even if you hate him as a footballer as many do and that's fair enough it should be clear to everyone that he was our best attacking threat until Townsend came, which is also backed up by him creating way more chances than anyone else in our team Yet in those 10 or so games, Lascelles scored more goals than Sissoko

The Kane point is fine, but it's something we all know. It's the drivel that comes after that is so bad, when he starts making shit up and rewriting history.

He played 90 minutes in almost every game this season and scored one goal That's below par for a defender, never mind an attacking midfielder. He is one of the biggest reasons (player wise) why we got relegated, calling him our best or second best player is laughable. Most assists this season, but that was too convenient to add to the arguement I guess. Feel free to name some names of better players in the squad though. People hate him due to his persona, I get it. I don't like him either. To say he is a shit footballer though is just ridiculous and impressively contradictory as I assume many of his criticts are in the "trust in Rafa"-brigade - and Rafa made him captain of the team. Janmaat, Lascelles, Mbemba, Dummett, Townsend, Wijnaldum, Tiote and Mitrovic were all comfortably better, a few of those I'm not a fan of at all. I don't care one bit about his personality to be honest, he can say he wants to leave however much he wants, if he had performed on the pitch I would have been happy with him.

My man is dominating the midfield.
