Fucking hell, what a miss by Torres
-
Not when you've bet against them
-
Thanks for that David, always thought it was well daft that they didn't let you bet on who to go though before the game
-
Can't stand him. Decent end product, at least compared to the other wingers that were here during his spell here, but too slow and never looked comfortable enough to beat his man.
-
Don't know if I understood you right here, but Bet365 offers bets on who to qualify ("head to head") for the next round. Really? I can't find it anywhere. It's usually available as an in play option, strangely enough.

Going for Wolfsburg/Liverpool/David Villa any time goalscorer
-
No way was that a red card against Tranmere by the way. He clearly pulled out of the challenge as soon as he realised he wasn't getting the ball. Hope we can keep both Krul and Forster and have them battling for the shirt when Harper retires.

Am I the only one who doesn't think winning the World Cup is a necessity to be considered one of the all time greats? I find what Messi is doing week in week out in Barcelona far more important than what he might do for a month during the World Cup.

Any word on Guthries injury?

Man U and over 2.5 goals in the Lyon game.
-
I count five: Fabregas, Gallas, Song, Arshavin, Van Persie.
-
Diego M - I think he could do everything that Messi could with a ball but he was leader, he could inspire others & carry a whole teams to Championships world or domestic football. Best player I have ever seen & I saw Billy Askew. I've never seen Maradona week in, week out, so I can't compare the two. I see what you're saying about Maradona, but at the moment, how could you perform better than what Messi is doing? Pretty much on his own is he making sure Barca are in the semi finals of the Champions League and in the race to win La Liga. Granted, he's got better team mates than Maradona had at Napoli when he won them the league pretty much on his own, but I just can't imagine how amazing someone would have to be to better than Messi at the moment.
-
We were talking about this at the pub. For us, he's without a doubt the best player in the world, and we're all questioning what the likes of Maradona could be better at to be considered better than Messi. The lad is just incredible.

There's usually about 8 (out of 10) televised Premier League games over here every week, sometimes as many as ten out of ten. We'll be on a lot more often, and for UK based fans, their mate justin will probably have them over a lot more often for away games.

This. It's been a fantastic season and relegation wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it would be, but I haven't seen nearly enough NUFC games this season. Sunday games is something I've missed massively. Sundays, for me, is the best day to watch football, as I'm working Saturdays and Mondays are too far away. Then, of course, just being on tele at 3 pm on Saturdays again will be brilliant, and even if we aren't, there'll be proper highlights available.

Lol at me. I thought we'd end up getting Kinnear back though, rather than putting the faith in Hughton. And i reckon we probably would have been well into the bottom half if Kinnear had been the boss this year. Still, huge fail. Haha, its funny how many times you stick to your guns too. I had us down as 2 Promoted. Not too shabby. Me too. A firm 1 now though, can't see us not winning the title.

Nolans through ball for Routledge early on was
-
they know fuck all! Pretty much this. The two of them are awful and talk an incredible amount of shite. They struggle to understand the off side rule for fucks sake
-
Enrique gets a solid 9 from me like. Took the piss out of their wingers again, and could easily have had three assists from his through balls.

Everyone should read the first few pages of this thread

Beating Boro just before Christmas. Things were looking good up until then, but to go 10 points clear was when it was really starting to sink in. Saying that though, even at that point I was just waiting for us to crumble, or to sell the likes of Enrique and Colo. Quite the opposite happened, in that we strengthened in the areas we needed to strengthen and we've only lost one league game since then.
