Looked good today, way too early to make any assumptions though.

First half today was very entertaining, hope we can see a few more displays like that, with a striker or two on the pitch, preferably.

Very good first half, shame about the goal though. Really like the look of Guthrie, he's got fantastic vision and can usually deliver as well. His pass for Coloccini when he tried to shoot early on was pure quality.

Indeed he was. Would be a bit of a gamble for any club to take him, similar to Duff. I would like it to be us though, hopefully he'll find the same form as when he was last playing under Keegan.

I'm a bit wary of getting anyone from the Belgian league, seeing as 'Gooch' plays for the champions. Doesn't he play with Alkmaar or someone in the Dutch league? Standard Liege Its deff Alkmaar. Has he just moved in the last week or so, because I remember seeing him in an interview saying he'd like another chance in the Premiership, as part of the pre-match build up when Liege played Liverpool. Anyway, to defeat my own argument, Gooch might turn out to be a good player eventually and Phillipe Albert wasn't too bad, was he? It is definitely Alkmaar. I quite like that line-up. Jonas and Martins linked up very well at OT, and playing Jonas a bit further up might give them more balls to play between them. Think we'll see Duff in that role, with Zoggy at left back though, same as last week.

I'm really nervous about tomorrow, tbh. It's a very important game for us, as I feel we still don't quite know how good our squad really is, and it's a game we really should win. A win tomorrow and we'll all look forward to a great season, but if we don't, we'll be worrying that we might be in for another season of cack.

Agree, Ashley Young had a superb season last year, got the pace of Lennon but with brains and skills to go with it. Also want to see Bentley in the side, though I'm not sure I prefer him over Joe Cole, who I also rate.

If Sunday wasn't a fluke, I find it strange that he's never had a call-up tbh.

Richards is a fucking beast by the way, could easily be one of the best defenders in the world in a few years.
