  1. Cracking game so far, being played at about 400mph!
  2. Joaquin, David Silva, David Villa, Vicente. Also, Riquelme when he is at his best, pulling the strings, ripping teams apart. And players like Ronaldinho, Robinho, C Ronaldo, Ronaldo, Quaresma, who are always full of tricks and always entertaining.
  3. Chrlton: Young, Carson West Ham, Tevez, Mascherano, Ashton Watford: Hameur Bouazza(been very impressed by him, although as Watford got 9m for Young I dont want to know how much they would be asking for!)
  4. I was thinking that the other day, now is the right time for him to move as he's probably mature enough to cope with a foreign culture. I think that Barcelona have first option on him, he was part of the Deco transfer and Barca insisted that they get first refusal on him.
  5. Cesc Fabregas, as a footballer he really is gifted, but he's an arrogant little s**t who sooner or later is going to get a slap from someone.
  6. The Premiership's most overrated player has to be Frank Lampard. I also think that Jermaine defoe and Shaun Wright-Phillips are vastly overrated. SWP's first touch at times is shocking. Scott Parker IMO isn't overrated, most people just accept that he is an honest hardworking player that gives his all week in, week out. Nobody expects him to be a world beater but you know exactly what your going to get from him. Our most overrated player has to be Albert Luque. All those that bang on about him being the second coming of Pele in his time in Spain are deluded. He was average in his own country, a typical winger, who blows hot and cold. And he left such a lasting impression in his native land that clubs were beating the door down to take him home during the previous two transfer windows.
  7. On current performances, Curbishly might well be leaving Upton park before Ferdinand.

    Fernando Torres

Poster boy, not a patch on David Villa.
  9. celery - a chelsea tradition
  10. You do realise that shay Given is also not on the list? As I'm not one of his biggest fans, I wouldn't expect him to be. You rate shwarzer, barthez over Given? Even if you aren't a big fan of Shay, it's stupidity-it's not about being a fan of somebody or not, it's just ridiculous. I respect your opinion, but for me it's an absurd. that's all I didn't say that I rate them above Given, if you read the post properly, you will indeed notice that I posted the results of a poll of an organisation that voted for the best keeper in 2006. Stevie Wonder can see that Shay Given is better than Schwarzer!
  11. You do realise that shay Given is also not on the list? As I'm not one of his biggest fans, I wouldn't expect him to be.
  12. Found this article: In which the West Brom second choice goalkeeper is 13th, and Mark Schwarzer also makes the list, still no Paul Robinson though! lol IFFHS' World's Best Goalkeeper of the Year 2006 Award given by the International Federation of Football History & Statistics (IFFHS); the election is for the calendar year. Top 22 1. Gianluigi BUFFON 2. Jens LEHMANN 3. Petr CECH 4. Iker CASILLAS 5. Edwin VAN DER SAR 6. ROGÉRIO Ceni 7. RICARDO Alexandre Martins Soares 8. Nélson de Jesus e Silva "DIDA" 9. Roberto ABBONDANZIERI 10. Fabien BARTHEZ 11. Oliver KAHN Víctor VALDÉS 13. Pascal ZUBERBÜHLER 14. Grégory COUPET Oswaldo SÁNCHEZ 16. Heurelho da Silva GOMES 17. Andrés PALOP 18. Igor AKINFEYEV José María BULJUBASICH Mark SCHWARZER
  13. Premiership: Cech Jaaskalainen Friedel Given Foster World: Buffon Cech Casillas Canizares Akinfeev
  14. Gallas - When fit, he is awesome, a great defender & a great athlete, and versatile, can fill any defensive role Toure - Has everything, pace, strength, good on the ball, gets forward well, scores goals. Ferdinand - Comes across as a complete prick, but he is a hugely talented footballer. Terry - Solid, brave, the classic English lion heart. Carvalho - Deceptively quick, good all round defender, also the master of the sly unpunished foul, always pushing, pulling, shirt tugging etc, but he is a great defender.
  15. Seriously, yes, as a striker, first and foremost, he is there to score goals, which he has done wherever he has played, and has already scored several times for Fulham. Montella over Saha seriouslyor Berb/Bellamy/Bent ?
  16. Of current strikers playing in the Premiership, In no particular order: Henry McCarthy Drogba Shevchenko Rooney Martins Owen Anelka Van Persie Montella Honourable mentions for: (the next ten) Tevez, Ashton, Doyle, Berbatov, Carew, Johnson, Bellamy, Larsson, Lita, Mcbride.
  17. lol, Stevie G loves a hollywood ball too, Lampard tires them often, but like his 679 shots per game, they are usually way off target!
  18. In fairness, Riquelme could/would rip the shit out of most teams/players. I happen to think Carrick is shit.
  19. I'll don my tin hat, the obvious players ommited from the starting XI would fill out the squad, but my side would be: Buffon Ramos Cannavaro Gallas Lahm Essien Fabregas Kaka Messi Villa Vicente
  20. Who the f*** is King? Ledley? In midfield ffs. YES, Ledley King, the time he played there for England as the holding midfielder player he was very impressive, turned in a man of the match display, so as id play with two holding midfield players, and think Carrick is shite, then YES i would play Ledley King alongside Hargreaves, allowing good cover for the defence whilst the 3 attacking midfield players support the lone striker.
  21. Are you being serious? Name any player who can do it better. Not wide right or wide left, but through the middle. for a start, Kaka, Anderson(Porto), Riquelme, Aimar, Scholes, Iniesta, Ronaldinho(Can & has played centrally), Totti, Nedved(plays centrally for Czech Republic),
  22. Dyer is the best player in the world at rapidly linking up the midfield with the attack. Are you being serious?
  23. Would need to change the shape of the team to 4-2-3-1, and mine would be: James Richards Terry Woodgate Cole Hargreaves King Gerrard Scholes Cole Rooney
  24. Great shout! England are completely over hyped, and the so called world class players like Lampard & Gerrard are shown to be far short of that level when playing against genuine world class players like Xavi Its quite funny, in that, its the media, papers that build England up to be a world class team, then a ssoon as they are found out for what they are, the media are the first ones to slaughter them!
