Keep Ba and it leaves Cissé where?
-
Puts teams on the back foot, scares them with his pace etc etc I'm all for getting rid of him in January. Imagine never having to see Obertan and Simpson attacking the RW again. Obertan hesitating when he reaches the box, turning back to Simpson who's cross is blocked out for a throw, which goes back to Tioté who smashes one into the stands.

In favour of doing this, especially if we sell Ba. Really don't see why we need to let Marveaux go though, we're lacking creativity in midfield so much and with Jonas getting worse by the game, his time is bound to come if he wants it. Remy-Cissé-Ben Arfa sounds fantastic

Won't help team morale much that. Don't give a shit about symbolic moves to please us. Just win the games.

I think Ba is the problem.
-
He'd be more suited to it than Shola so yes, probably.
-
It's not only that. Our style changed back to the way it was when we were awful in January/February. The philosophy and mentality is dreadful. Exposing individulas in defence, relying heavily on Demba and Hatem in attack. No concept what so ever.
-
He's been fanastic since we signed him. Many of us suspect that his ego is an issue and that he might be the reason we're not performing well as a team. It's a gamble to get rid of him as he's clearly a beast of a player. I'm more concerned with my team than losing one individual though. He might get 25 goals, but I'd rather have us playing well. I still don't think he's holding us back, and I think Pardew could get us playing well WITH Demba in the side. However, he's proving a problem for Pardew, who really is to blame here. To help him solve that problem, I think we might have to sell him.
-
Not only that, it puts us in serious danger.
-
We'll need him during the spring. Of course it's the right thing to do. Marveaux HAS to play now though.
-
Can't believe we're still trying these. Give over.

Any word on HBA? Might be out. I think we'll need him. Most important thing is dropping Jonas for Marveaux. We'll create so much more. -

I still feel very encouraged by that. Have faith in us turning it around now, I think the players showed graft and commitment today. That's been missing so far this season. Combined with the insight that we need to play it on the ground more, we'll hopefully be fine. -
What a signing.

Very good game. No complaints other than the lack of concentration in defence. Anita is the fucking deal. Should have brought Marveaux on a bit earlier and have to drop Jonas. -

Marveaux has to be on. Things look so so bad now. -
Gameiro seems like a central forward as well. I don't want more of these.

I wasn't optimistic at all so if he's going to miss a game, might as well be this one. We were always going to get beat anyway. Don't understand this facepalm at all. We are more than likely to lose this game, so if HBA is less than 100% we shouldn't risk him. That's just sensible management. I was just taking for granted the manupstairs was being ironic?
-
I think we'll sign a RB and try for one more player. Nobody will leave.
-
He was excellent when he signed for us in the Championship and did well in spells during 2010/11 and had a few decent showings in 2011/12. This season he's been exposed because of our general pathetic football where defenders are - despite a negative approach - being put under a lot more pressure. Everytime he's individually challenged his weaknesses are exposed. Watching him in a team doing well and defending as a unit during parts of last season, none of that was equally evident. He's decent in the air and positionally he wasn't the worst. When we beat Man Utd 3-0 in January he was a fucking rock. Excelled in the presence of Coloccini. But as a outright stopper, which he is, he's lost confidence and he is being harmed by the fact that Tioté isn't protecting him, the fact that Colo has to cover up more and hasn't been fit and the fact that we've collectively lost belief.

Anita-Tioté-Jonas-Ferguson Ba-Cissé 0-19

Replace him with a proper winger and a decent backup for Cissé. Start playing players in their right positions. I'll be fucking livid if we try to replace Ba with Carroll or someone like him.

Aye much better man management and cost effective to just state we need 5 players to come in.... "We are s**** all over the pitch, we need at least five signings or we're getting relegated". Cheers Alan. If a manager says he's bringing in a number of players it might just give some of our current team a kick up the arse that their place might be under threat. Not saying we need more first teamers. We need Premiership standard squad players as well. I'd say new CB, winger and RB for first team, regardless of what happens with Demba. Plus maybe another full-back and maybe another DM.
