Aren't we all -
I don't want us to scrape through. I don't want us to fear any teams going into the next round. Be it Napoli or Dnipro, I want us to play as well as we can. If we do, we can see off pretty much any team in this competition on our day. Long way to go though.
-
Rooney is light years behind Zlatan too. Definately. I'd probably put Zlatan at nr 4 or 5 whereas Rooney would be around 20th.
-
I was ready to give up that day. After all the pain relegation meant, that man restored my pride in supporting this club. The way he went was one of the all time lows, regardless of how things turned out. I love it how well he's doing at Norwich.
-
Most importantly, where is Hatem? Haven't seen the full list yet. Presumably somewhere between 1st and 1st.
-
FourFourTwo has listed the 100 best players in the world. Apparently Gareth Bale is nr 11, Rooney nr 10 and Zlatan nr 13. I know my Swedish bias comes into play, but still. How anyone who's watched football in the last year can consider Bale a better player than Zlatan is not in my universe.

aye, went through a little slump then when taylor and colo were injured, and again decided against bringing ni a CB got humped 4-1 i think? or 4 nowt 4-2. Demba scored 2 goals a game at that point. -
Aye before long he will be 35 and it will be all over.... Kick on Adam lad before it's too late. And apparently he's not injured.
-
Thing for me is there aren't many - if any - like him. Sure Nani, Suarez and maybe Taarabt (in the Premiership) could have pulled off what he did against Blackburn and Bolton, but his imagination and enthusiasm for dribbling combined with the elegance he possesses makes him unique. His dribbling style is quite unique aswell. Touching the ball into little spaces with frightening accuracy. I actually think Marveuax has learnt one or two things from him judging from the way he went past players against Wigan.

He was in training pics from this morning so not so sure about that. -
Even Pardew says Bigi shouldn't be playing. He's very raw, we've seen that on several occasions now. I think Anita-Tioté-Marveaux has very good potential. Bigi looks as if he's a good replacement for Anita rather than Tioté. I think Perch is Tioté's best back-up. He has the aggression and physicallity to win the battle. Bigi's more of a technical, dynamic player.

Monday I want this: Krul Simpson Perch Coloccini Santon Tioté Anita Marveaux Cissé Ba Hatem Win 8-1

Borderline homophobic. What is he trying to do there?

Hasn't been training has he? Was supposed to be out until January. Well he's tweeting pictures of the team at the airport so he's there. Yeah he's obviously there Might be travelling anyway. -

Team's plane to Bordeaux apparently delayed. -
Playing Ajax would be awesome. I'd love Inter as well.

My god this has the potential to be a really shit game. -
I thought he was gash. Needs to up his game again. Usually needs a couple of games to get going. His passing and decisionmaking yesterday was appalling. Some really late challenges as well. Needs to go back to keeping it simple and do what he does best - tackle the shit out of everyone.
-
Last night as in when they were hit by a red card and a penalty after 2 seconds?
-
Martinez goes about his business the right way. No persistent talk of fucking tiki taka or possession stats either, false 9s or all the other terminology that irritates the living hell out of me. He has his team playing very good football with very little resources. Wigan towards the end of last season were terrific, they've taken some of that into this season as well. He's developing as a manager, obviously.
-
There were still numerous occasions when the ball went into the box and they occupied the exact same space. Both are full of goalscoring instinct which is a good thing. However, we need something else at times.

West Ham agree fee in region of £15m with Liverpool for Andy Carroll

Juventus swapped Hector Carini for Fabio Cannavaro in 2004 or 2005. One of the most ridiculous deals ever made.
