  1. Good read. http://bet.unibet.com/football/premier-league/2012/12/04/toon-army-arent-barmy-they-can-appreciate-progress-when-they-see
  2. Would have been great to see Campbell and Streete. Shame they're injured.
  3. Elliot Tavernier Satka Williamson Ferguson Bigirimana Abeid Amalfitano Sammy Shola Obertan I'm not sure if I'm serious about Satka. Maybe.
  4. Piss weak against Koné at one point, his panic attack when Colo passed it to him in the first half and he hacked his foot into the ground and misplaced his pass back to him was pure comedy. Decent enough otherwise but really lacking in confidence at the moment. That coupled with his lack of ability on the ball makes him a liability.
  5. He gets asked about it perhaps? Might be an attempt to prompt action from Demba's camp and not f***ing about. If we speak openly about losing him they know they can't force our hand to the maximum. However, if the 80-90k wages are true, we have a massive problem. Not that he doesn't deserve a wage like that in comparison to what others make in the Premiership.
  6. If we get everyone fit some glorious day I'd like to see this front six on show Tioté Anita Ben Arfa Cabaye Marveaux Ba

    Alan Pardew

I think we have a chance at Fulham if we go there and play. The top sides are due a dip as well. Arsenal look beatable atm. Especially if we keep passing and get Hatem back. Main concern is withstanding Williamson for the whole of december. Might see Perch in there if we're lucky.
  8. It's a fucking play with numbers. 4-2-3-1/4-3-3/4-5-1 is bascially the same. The main thing yesterday, and in every other game we've played well over the past 10 months, we had three central midfielders. What I liked about yesterday was how Anita linked defence to midfield and Marveaux linked midfield to attack. That's what we've been missing in every game this season. I hope Pardew took notice.
  9. With him playing the way he did yesterday, Cheick back to smashing people up and not fannying about with the ball and Cabaye pushing forward, we have a superb potential midfield three. Add to that a front three of Marveaux, Ba and Ben Arfa and we'll be laughing.
  10. He is probably the most dignified manager in the league along with Hughton. So likeable and humble. You never hear him moan or blame anyone or get into controversies. Very liberating. Happy he didn't go to Liverpool, really want him at Newcastle at some point but doubt he'd go along well with Ashley.

    Papiss Cissé

Bench him if he's not playing as a central striker. Offers nothing at RW. Sick of seeing us diplomatically wasting him there.
  12. Excellent throughout. The midfielder that linked everything together. The exact role many of us wanted him to play in earlier in this thread. Superb technique and good penetration. Looking forward to see more of this.
  13. Always an option. One of the reasons we passed it round better tonight. Looked great.
  14. Emphatic, confident 4-0 win, lining up properly, playing properly, scoring good goals. Imagine.
  15. If you're going to do that joke, the Dembas should be occupying the same space. I seem to recall Cissé stuttering around at RW quite a lot at Stoke. Had to place him somewhere in between.
  16. This is what I think we'll see: Krul Simpson Willnotwinson Coloccini Santon Jonas Anita Tioté Ferguson Cissé Ba
  17. http://t.co/xjmAc466 An interview with him here. I want to see him more involved. As stated above, he's what we need. Yet to reach his highest level here, really interesting player in theory.

    Alan Pardew

Quite a good analysis that from Skysports. Perhaps not blaming Pardew as harshly as we are, but rather point to the obvious decisions he's getting wrong. And basically what Parky says. If he tries it again I'll be crying from kick-off. Please put Demba LW. If he's not happy with it, fuck it and sell him.
  19. name the other 9................... without checking. 1 Shearer, Fowler, Henry, Owen, Rooney, Ferdinand, Cole, Lampard, Robbie Keane? van Nistelrooy?
  20. Krul Simpson Williamson Coloccini Santon Anita Tioté Gutierrez Marveaux Cissé Ba PPLLLLZZZZZZZ
  21. It's basically sacrificing all attacking play in order for Ba to get goals. His individual ability and tendency to score goals from shit long balls saved us for a while. Not any longer. Shift.
  22. Left a huge impression on me with his World Cup performances. Really stepped up when it mattered. His highest level was unbelievable.
  23. German football is an example to follow in my opinion. No wonder that league is growing bigger every year. If they can fend of the extremist groups - much like the rest of Europe - the match day experience is superior to pretty much every other league in Europe and probably the world. Also, there is so much young talent being given the chance, such optimistic football, competitive and financially functional clubs without the super commercial surroundings that are present at many Premier League clubs. As for Chelsea and their fans wanting their club back. God knows where they would be without Roman.
  24. We need the structure to stick together for a while longer. If we're sitting ducks in January, the Pardew out campaign will be in full flow. However, we know the circumstances, we know that loud discontent will only create more fractions and divide the club at a time when we can't really afford that. Ashley will never bow to the fans' opinion. He will stick with Pardew. We'll do best to stick with him as well. He should be able to turn things around with the players he has at his disposal.
