Bob Moncur They're not even pretending to do anything properly. This is on par with the Kinnear appointments. He's fucking antiquated moron, a fossil.

The fucking punts, lingering behind Williamson aiming for Shola or Cissé at RW. It was barely football. -
Fuck him for signing up for this.
-
Did anyone expect otherwise? It's about forcing them all out until there is actual change.
-
Correct. Nothing to do with Carr. Norman Wooster, no?
-
This, unfortunately. It's always going to be him. When they took Pardew, there was no process, they were just "delighted to have gotten their man". This time they'll want to appear transparent and competitive. But it'll be McClaren no doubt.

Taylor and Williamson need to be sold. This. Williamson needs to be removed.

Based on what? Hard to be worse.

This post sums up how low expectations are these days. Nobody should be "ok" with such an unambitious appointment. It's complete bullshit if it is him. Sacked from Derby FFS. He'll be forever indebted to Ashley for saving him from fucking irrelevance.

No chance if he was he would be in the job now - there is noway on this earth that fat Mike is going to risk losing 60 million again after last season. Anyone with half a brain realises Carver means certain relegation next year and it's just not going to happen. You a) underestimate to what lengths Mike Ashley goes to in order to save money and his understanding of football. If he was persuaded to hire Joe Kinnear twice, he can be persuaded to give Carver another chance. And b) there is no reason for them to announce Carver now, it's not how they deliver bad news. They let it happen in the background, for us to slowly digest rather than to cause an uproar.

It's basically what they did with Hughton after we went down.

Beginning to wonder how much of this shit publicity he and Sports Direct wants. It's becoming poisonous.

Have they f*** let down the club, they were brought in because of what they are. We sell ourselves to players across the continent as a club where you can put yourself in the shop window and we don't mind if they don't really give a stuff. It's like deliberately bringing in known cowboy builders because they're dirt cheap then moaning when your house falls down. The club have nobody to blame but themselves. Platform for soulless mediocrity. It's all their creation. This time "mistakes have been made" will be plain wrong. It's all going to plan with an outcome that was always probable. The club as it is now is tailored to what they've aspired to build. No mistakes have been made.
-
It's their own doing now and they know it. Nobody will want to take the job. Serves them fucking right. Hope we crash and burn for real this time.
-
Seriously. This is Ashley digging his own grave. With Carver being our manager, the protests and everything, it's come to the attention of the entire football establishment what he's doing. Anyone who engages will be viewed as complicit.
-
Again, this will be story for Ashley now. Nobody who can keep us steady will want to touch the job.
-
It'll be Carver staying on for the remaining three games. It's always bad and boring when it comes to us.

Solano crashing the bar at San Siro has always stuck with me for some reason. Keegan created the platform that Bobby's side went from. Keegan made what the club could be, he created the sleeping giant people still speak of (well maybe not anymore). I think Bobby's side proved that this club was just waiting to get back to what Keegan created, that it did not die with Keegan. The decisions made from Souness and onwards (there were remains of Bobby's team and some sort of foundation even when Roeder got the job) and Ashley has halted and eradicated most of that platform. We can't be activated in the same way anymore as the ship has sailed. 2004 is the most damning year for me.

He's typical of us under Ashley. He's been constantly praising those who design the mediocrity to preserve his own existence at the club. The club basically consists of friends who are not good enough at what they do, from Charnley to Pardew to Woodman to Williamson and it goes on. Of course they look out for eachother as the club has given them that platform.
