When you put it like that, it's almost as if he's trying to replicate his sports kit sales with his manager appointment policy. Former big brand names devalued then picked up cheap and rebadged. Everything is like that, player recruitment as well.
-
His personality is easier to digest but it's still absurd that we're not going for the best we can.
-
Pretty much confirmed then.
-
Fucking superb side that, could easily have challenged for 4th with a real life manager and some inspired youth from the bench rather than Shola and Gosling.
-
Why is this happening? I'm in that mood today.
-
Should an international goalkeeper need a specialised coach to do the basics? No, his loss of international inclusion draws suspicion to how the club has nurtured his talent though. It wouldn't surprise me if the League One manager's mate from League One didn't help his cause.
-
fucking Woodman, fished up from League One by his mate.

Not really. I see absolutely no discernible difference between the two of them whatsoever. This. There's absolutley no difference to us. Our current line-up, planning, set-pieces or anything. This run, this approach we're doing now, it's exactly the same. It's a Pardew team. Rather than Gosling and Shola ahead of Hatem etc., it's now Gouffran and Obertan and Riviere over Ayoze and Cabella. It's Pardew without the suit and more tongue.

I've developed some sort of almost irrational hatred for Bob Moncur. Anyway, wrote this on his latest shite: http://www.themag.co.uk/2015/03/ask-bobby-moncur/ Mark Douglas responded to some of it here; at least he's on board with the fact that Carver would only confirm the perception that they're not even trying. http://www.chroniclelive.co.uk/sport/sport-opinion/can-newcastle-united-ever-win-8830802

Carver's got it, no doubt. I feel stupid for not realising this back in January. It's the usual charade, waiting for anticipation and expectation to fizzle out. Suffocating the channels for opposition through PR management. It's what they always do. Appointing Carver is like not sacking Pardew after last season. They'll wait until people have forgotten about the football, then do it. It's what they do with shit news before international friendlies and home games.
-
Moncur is a fucking danger to the club. Wrote this when he leapt to Pardew's defence last May. http://www.themag.co.uk/2014/05/bobby-moncur-defence-indefensible/

If he stays we'll a) probably struggle to attract the players necessary to stay up next season, b) struggle to keep some of the players that keep our heads above water now and c) be in the hands of man more than likely to relegate whatever players are put in front of him. If Carver would only understand what he is in the process of doing here. Not only contribute to the now epic murdering of the club, but also damaging his own legacy, a legacy that was still respectable to some people who liberate him from any accountability under Pardew. I'll struggle with anyone who does Ashley's bidding, Keegan, Hughton, Nolan etc. showed the way, all somewhat dignified people.
-
Will it be better in the Championship? Don't know but I'm up for anything, this is nothing. It seemingly needs to burn down before it can be rebuilt.
-
In honesty I now want us to lose more than ever. Relegation seems to be the only end to this fucking torture.
-
I bet he is delighted. Carver needs hounding out.
-
He fucking hates Abeid.

We're basically run by a bunch of drinking buddies.
