I’ve said this countless times on here but not every signing needs to be a ‘top player’. Forget the fee. When you have so many games to play you need a squad of players which can manage all those games. At least some of them aren’t going to be ‘top players’. Some of them just need to be good enough.

I don’t know what he’s done to deserve this criticism so early but it’s really, really weird.

He’ll be fine, good player. He really needs a run of games. He was effective going forwards today I thought, his passing is nice and crisp on the break. I haven’t seen the handball as I was sat in the Gallowgate.
