Should be on a 4-touch limit. Win it, control it, pass it to someone nearby who can play. He's fucking shite on the ball and when it's crowded he's diabolical.

Does anyone know how to get a birthday shout-out to DJ One Deck to read at half time? Promised the bairn I’d remember to do it this year.

What’s he said this time? -
Have you put this on your appraisal at work?

Aaron Ramsdale: return to Southampton confirmed

Yep. I said it when Ramsdale joined. Him and Pope is such an odd combination because the team has to function in two very different ways based on which one is playing. -

They were shite at SJP in the League Cup. -
There’s another way of looking at this. Howe is very cautious, in general. Part of that is being cautious with morale. He will only make changes when he’s thought it through/discussed it with players. Plenty of players have talked about how one of his strengths is making everyone feel valued and part of something. What he’s doing is considered. Him and his coaching staff see more then we do.

His decision making is chronic, like.

I know @Pata already alluded to this, and @gbandit just referenced it in another thread. I did think about it post Man City.

I think we’re seeing the effect proper competition has for places, here. I’ve often found him very frustrating to watch, but the last few games he’s won it back and kept it simple, dropping it off to Bruno or playing it out wide where there’s space. When he plays like this, recognising what he can and can’t do, he’s so much better.

Everton 1-4 Newcastle United (29/11/25) | post-match from pg. 38

Particularly gratifying that Sky ran a ‘he’s really, really good, isn’t he?’ bit pre-match. -

Will be interesting to see how the rest of the team adapts to having him in goal for a few games. Also how other teams play against us, we should be able to play much higher up the pitch with him there as he can recycle possession very effectively. -
Think he was good overall but inexcusable not getting across the pitch to close down the cross for the disallowed goal. That was shite, and lazy.
-
Fantastic performance, made them look silly in the first half. Still concerned at how we play 1-0 up, however, fantastic performance and result. Oh, and stick that up your bollocks, you tarts.

Eh? -
I’m still not over that chance where he tried to kick the ball and fell over, TBH. Not sure I ever will be.

Skim read that as more reliable knackers. Sorry, just had to say that.

It’s glorious, like. Absolutely glorious.
