Looking behind the language used here, it reads like what you're saying is we should judge new signings quickly? Or have I misinterpreted? It seems wholly reasonable to me to reserve judgment until new players have had time to adjust/coaching/etc. Especially given what we've seen from Howe and the coaching staff in the past? And I'll continue to argue that lumping Elanga and Ramsey together doesn't stand up to even basic scrutiny. They're not the same.

Agree that it's a calculated foul, he's never getting anywhere near the ball and he knows exactly what he's doing. Burn slides first and is defenceless once he's committed. It's a foul. Whether it's yellow/red I don't know, but it's 100% a foul.

I was at the Burnley game in the middle tier of the Gallowgate. Looking around at everyone surrounding me not supporting the team but just huffing for 90 minutes. Everyone's just too fucking old, man. Me included. Get some excited bairns in to liven it up a bit.

This works both ways. It’s just as much of a risk to sack the coach they all speak so highly of. We qualified for CL last season and our best player still left. This concept just doesn’t carry the weight some think it does.

Depends how you define 'playing down the importance'. It's a big game which I'd really like us to win, I wouldn't have the coach sacked for losing it, though. Is that playing it down?
