  1. I'll make a "WE GRATEFULLY ACCEPT WHATEVER SHITE WE'RE SERVED" banner on a blanket sewn together out of my payslips. That'll look good, actually. You going to be there? Working weekends atm. Wary of putting money into the club while the owners continue to take the piss anyway though. Ah right. Never mind then. Thought that counts. I bet your little eyes lit up when you saw this thread It's just a depressing thought, to be honest. We all know how shit the season's been, the football's been and the manager is. That'll probably get dealt with in the summer. There's simply no need for protests, bed sheets and 'Geordie cliches'. If he's not going to be sacked there absolutely is a need for protest. I don't care about Geordie cliches, I care about us improving as a team and I believe it won't happen with Pardew in charge. I'm not sure on the state of mind you'd have to be in to view people protesting for things they believe in to be depressing, but I'm glad I don't share it. I'm not disputing that he needs to go, not even a little bit. That isn't the argument here. I just can't understand how a 'protest' consisting of, at most, a couple hundred people is going to make absolutely sure that'll happen. It just won't. At best you've missed the point, at worst this is a straw man. Nobody has said that it will make absolutely sure. I don't care. Ashley doesn't mind what time you leave as long as you pay your money.

  3. We're beyond needing context at this point, Pardew has proved himself as incompetent in so many areas, he has to go if we want to progress.

  5. I'll make a "WE GRATEFULLY ACCEPT WHATEVER SHITE WE'RE SERVED" banner on a blanket sewn together out of my payslips. "HERE'S MY MONEY, DO AND SAY WHATEVER YOU WANT"
  6. I'll be at the protest if I can, and will be protesting in the only way Ashley cares about if Pardew stays.
  7. It's unlikely, but Ashley is unpredictable and concessions were made in January (I'm clinging onto fading hope).
  8. Whether we're safe or not, and why, is still being debated in my office today

You may well be right Dave but it upsets me to see you use a Lee Ryder article with no quotes in it to claim it

Protest is only 'cringe worthy' if you think you're above making your voice heard. It's one of my pet hates of the times we live in to be honest, this attitude. Just because stupid people do something badly it doesn't mean it can't be done properly ever. Get your bed sheet out.

I'll give Ian the benefit of the doubt but it looked hilarious after you'd written a passionate post about Pardew and he ignored it, deleted it from the quote and said he loves Istanbul
  12. Shola's vs Sunderland was just as good I don't recall, did it go in the top corner? Nah low and hit the side netting, was brilliant Ahh yeah. Nothing beats a top corner pen imo.
  13. And rightly so, we are the type of club that could attract Benitez, they aren't. It would take a shift in thinking at the top, but it's still the case imo.
  14. This routine is like a racist relative that stinks of piss. It's disgusting, it's irritating and it's depressing. You know it's going to be there and there's absolutely nothing you can do about it. You're just sitting there suffering it in the vain hope that it might die one day and all your weekends won't be ruined anymore.

Hope you're enjoying Istanbul mate, amazing city.

No. Come on man Dave, that's ridiculous. Obviously he means that he is so relieved that we've survived, nothing else matters. He was a bit silly to say it, but I doubt anyone outside this forum has given it a second thought. I'm a Newcastle United fan, i pay money to watch the team play. He gets paid a fortune to manage the team and he'd get a handsome pay off if he got fired as a result of us being relegated. The club will mean nothing to him once he's gone, I'm stuck with it. I'd say there's a fair chance I'm more relieved than him, wouldn't you? I care if we get hammered at home, I'm not thanking god that we're not in Europe where we belong. Stop defending it, it's atrocious.

    Alan Pardew

Fucking hell. I'm pretty sure he didn't mean that literally like. Jesus Christ. You actually believe a manager doesn't care if he gets hammered? He said it, man. Why the fuck did he say it then? As I've said about three times, because he's incredibly relieved we've stayed up. And he has a tendency to be too casual in interviews. It still doesn't make any sense. It's indefensible for a Newcastle manager to say that, and you're defending it. Again. Sigh. Fair play, as I said it's pointless me trying to have any debate, I should have known better. There's a debate to be had about our manager saying he doesnt care if we get hammered at home again and that he's glad we're not in Europe? Really?

    Alan Pardew

Aye, he needs to be careful how far he pushes this argument, because the chances of us signing those players are surely zero. I think he's been setting up his post season excuses for weeks.
  20. I think we'll be in a relegation battle for sure next season if he's here. If he stays I'll feel very, very odd about our early fixtures because if we get to Christmas around 10-13th it might not be enough for them to sack him but I'll still be sure that we'll be in amongst it until the last weeks of the season.
  21. Did you make a note of the last results before resetting? It was something like 530/38 in favour.
  22. Best NUFC pen I've seen since Shearer.
