I'd forgotten about that shot. We've been saying for ages he should be instructed not to shoot, I'd go one further and fine him. That would include a modicum of analysis on our attacking game though and Pardew's not interested.
-
Because Pardew wants Cabaye playing at centre half to knock balls over the top for Cisse.
-
 Jesus fucking Christ man, our manager
-
Keegan used to practice 5-aside football just to get movement and one touch passing instilled in the team. It was old fashioned, but still light years ahead of what Pardew does IMO. i said this exact thing yesterday about 20 mins into the game...if pardew can do nothing else he needs to have them playing 5-a-side for a couple of hours every day so they can learn to pass to each other, how to make space for a pass when it's tight...football basics really Our play on the edge of the opponents box when it's tight is absolutely appalling.

We've got one striker, we've got plenty others who can score goals.
-
Agreed here. Players need to take some blame too. Cabaye is nowhere near as good as what some people make him to be. Except he is. Cabaye is very good. Even the best central midfielders in the world would look dejected playing for this team at the moment. This team isn't as good as many say. With respect, you're just confused by the effect the manager is having on them. That's without going into how good 'many' people say they are.

I've been touting the Pards/Souness resemblance for a while. I feel the same as I did back then. Just dreading games/bull shit excuses and good players playing horribly We've lost to everyone else as well Alan, you useless twat. Still blaming the stadium as well I see. It wasn't his mentality or substitutions that changed the game, it was the fans. Honestly man, this cunt is Souness in drag.

Please, please, please can I wake up to news that he's been sacked tomorrow? Thanks god, I'll never ask for anything else again.
-
nah, what i was saying was, if we were outsiders thats how we'd have looked at it. Right. And why were you saying that?
-
fatigue and the linesman and if it had been fulham/stoke etc in their euro season it's exactly what we'd say it was. to be honest i don't see it that way and maybe it wasn't that way for those clubs. Depends, if I'd been watching them all season and they'd been shit, I'd probably say it was because they were shit.

There's a family of geese at Tynemouth boating lake, one of them.

Yeah saw that, I am not one of these "should be locked in the house crying for a week!" types but after such a abysmal defeat the players shouldn't be laughing and joking on the pitch while the fans are distraught. Me neither mate. Just shows a complete lack of awareness of what the game means imo.
-
Left a bitter taste in my mouth seeing him cracking on with one of their players on the pitch after the full time whistle. Also noticed Cabaye go out if his way to shake the same guys hand at the start if the second half. Howay man, not when we're playing these lot and getting hammered. edit - it was NDiaye

Playing Jonas at left back was definitely the cause of the first goal. He gave the ball away with a simple pass, he wasn't caught out positionally which is what you could complain about Pardew playing him at left back. Astonishingly bad posts KDT. Honestly man, you have to watch the game and not the highlights to draw the conclusion that Pardew was at fault for a lot today. I also don't think there's been a massive swing towards him because solely of this performance. The whole seasons has been embarrassing. Get rid of him come summer and start fresh. I'm not against getting rid of Pardew to start again in the summer, I just don't think today can solely be based on Pardew. I watched the full game and not just the highlights, we got caught out by Sessegnon again dropping into space like what happened in the last derby at home. Is that the one Pardew was also in charge for? And something i've been saying for months, despite playing three in CM, we still leave a massive space in front of our DC's. Tactically it's rank bad. I thought it was extraordinary today, for a lot of the second half we were playing in a square with the back four and two up front and the entire midfield hugging the touchline. The players looked terrified of going into the tight central midfield cluster of mackems. Commented on this a few times at the match. At times when we were in possession there was 3 mackems in the middle of the pitch and no one in black and white anywhere near them.

Good point, he'll be managing us from a luxury care home when he's 85.

We looked just as s*** playing in on the deck today. If anything, the option to play effective long ball may have won us the game. Sadly we have no real outlet for it. And with Tiote as the deepest midfielder frankly I think hoofball would be less dangerous. Mainly because of how deep we were, in any case hoofball is out of the question when Cisse is your centre forward. I just wish you'd stop trying to imply we have this really talented, technical midfield. Our lot consistently struggle to keep the ball under and pressure and generally create not a bastarding thing. Mate you can get rid of this midfield and bring in a new one for £30m, with a manager that sets them up to play like wax dummies it won't make a jot of difference. I quite agree. Still think two many players get away with too much on here. You consistently question the technical ability of a midfield consisting of any 4 from Cabaye, Marveux, Tiote, Sissoko, Ben Arfa, Jonas and Anita and I'd like you to explain why? I'd argue that our best 4 midfielders are as good as most in the Premiership but you obviously don't. Please enlighten us. Take away the crap, unsuited and mostly injured and you're left with Cabaye, Marveaux and Sissoko. Hope that helps. Sad to see you plunge to these depths to defend him at the last like. 'Unsuited' for fucks sake. They're good players, a good manager would be able to make them a good team.

Anybody? Go on then. For a start, I don't rate him highly or even have that much faith in him. That's even more the case after today. However, my position all along has been that he deserves next season based on last year alone. I saw enough during that season that I could be happy with as a supporter going forward. If things haven't improved after the start of next season, he should be replaced. I don't have very much faith that he'd be adequately replaced mind. As you say, he's obviously a good man manager and the players like him. I crave some form of stability here and, if he can reach the heights of last season again, I don't have any real personal dislike of him to prevent me wanting him as our manager. I'd be interested to know what you saw like, given the football was pretty much the same?
-
You not on the direct debit scheme then? Genuine question. I am but I don't think I want to pay another penny to watch a Pardew team.
-
Nailed it. The fact that we gave that awful bloke the chance to walk around on our pitch beating his chest is unforgivable.
-
Just fuck off man, fuck so far off.
-
The real question is what was he doing before that had you defending him? As I have mentioned a number of times he was doing a hell of a lot wrong but scraping out the odd run/result which stopped me losing complete faith in him. Actually I had lost faith when we were completely outplayed by Brighton but then we signed a load of players which brought him a little more time for me. We had a decent run after that and were progressing in Europe. Still quiet a few concerns but not a complete disaster. I'm just fed up now, too many chances but apparently I'm not allowed to change my opinion or should feel thoroughly ashamed and profusely apologise for my opinion Reminds me of when I was about 8 and we made "bases" but wouldn't let other kids in You're allowed to say whatever you want man
-
This to be honest. Last thing we all need after a result like that is the 'I told you so's' joyously dancing on their keyboards. Bollocks. Complete bollocks, considering some of the holier than thou sneering we've been putting up with for over a YEAR now. If you thought this guy was good at his job you were fooled, drink your f***ing medicine. Is there enough to pass round to the panel that appointed him Manager of the Year last season? Haha, there's plenty I'm not looking to fall out with anyone or do any I told you so's. I apologise if that came across too confrontational. I just think it's really really cheeky to tell people not to do it after all the condescending rubbish that's been aimed at us

I knew you were a sensible lad really. Losing at home to the mackems is a bitter, bitter pill to swallow, and it's going to hurt until the fixture next year. I don't want him sacked for this specifically though. I want him sacked because he's turned good players into a poor team, it's as simple as that. Same shit, different week.
