  1. John Anderson reckons Pardew 'took a chance' on the 4-3-3, honestly man
  2. yeah, but considering Perch's form in practice it's closer to 1 centre back away imo

    aye but nick a point?
  4. he'll also take any opportunity to talk down Tiote's ability, not sure why like.
  5. Could'nt he reject the one-year extension and sign for a club for free? or is this a contract obligation ? The couple of things I've read about it have stated 'the club' retain the option so it sounds like its in their hands (i'm not sure though).

Newcastle have been amazing, they're in great form, they looked like Arsenal at their peak a few weeks ago. They'll nick a point at Swansea.
  7. By my understanding his contract is up this summer but the club retain the right to renew for one more year, so i guess that would involve us paying up based on a year left? I think with the confusion it's being spoken of as a free transfer in some places but would involves us paying a small fee.
  8. This. Besides, if you can't stand criticism from fans than you have no place being on twitter as a professional footballer. either that or just don't mention football on twitter?
  9. just to play devil's advocate for a second, look at all the players with seemingly quite humble attitudes, the likes of Colo, Raylor, Krul, Tiote, Ba? All have arguably improved while here, I do wonder whether Simpson might have improved a bit too if he didn't think he was the muts nuts. Feel free to give it the biggun if you back it up on the pitch, not if you're a rank average player with no competition forcing you to work for your place who regularly costs the team chances and goals.
  10. do we? Santon, Perch, Raylor and Saylor can all play there, Tavernier may even get a new contract? Aye and Jonas can play left back so we dont need a new left back either. I see what you did there, look at it from the perspective of the people that actually make the decisions, do we NEED a new right back if Simpson leaves and we bring in a left back? (which by all accounts has been the plan all along)

  12. be very surprised if we paid for yet another right footed full back this summer
  13. Don't agree with the second bit, he behaved like a spoiled child on the one occasion he was substituted this season to give our new young fullback ten minutes on the right.
  14. Jonas played well in midfield at WBA and was all over the place against Liverpool.
  15. The club's policy is to negociate at the 2 year stage so hopefully this will done no later than the summer unless he is selected for the Euro's... http://www.newcastle-online.org/nufcforum/index.php/topic,91227.msg3617001.html#msg3617001
  16. crackers isn't it, only going to go up next year as well

They'll stop arguing the toss soon anyway because he's only there for another 7 games.
  18. That's why we need to get it extended I reckon, or we could be in a situation where he had a fantastic season next time out and we're getting bids with 2 years left on it, don't want that to happen. Especially if we get into Europe this season we should strike while iron's hot so to speak.
