Newcastle United vs. Bolton Wanderers 09/04/2012 @3PM

Wouldn't risk Colo here like, Perch and Williamson should be enough to handle these lot. -
You're totally right. What is it about Ba that makes people think he's not happy being part of a winning team ffs?
-
It was absolutely fucking ludicrous, and that IS a dig from me, he'd scored 2 in 3 (or 4) at that point and his all round game looked very very good. He's ridiculous.
-
Was as good if not better without the ball than with today, and that's something I thought I'd never witness. I reckon he's learned a trick or two from Jonas btw, uses his body very cleverly to keep possession.
-
I was a bit concerned at half time as well, out of our midfield and attack only Cabaye and Cisse turned up and we just couldn't keep the ball. The gameplan was superb though so all credit to Pardew for that, if you've got a front 3 as good as ours you can afford to play like that. Fucking great result.

John Anderson reckons Pardew 'took a chance' on the 4-3-3, honestly man -

yeah, but considering Perch's form in practice it's closer to 1 centre back away imo -

he'll also take any opportunity to talk down Tiote's ability, not sure why like. -
Could'nt he reject the one-year extension and sign for a club for free? or is this a contract obligation ? The couple of things I've read about it have stated 'the club' retain the option so it sounds like its in their hands (i'm not sure though).
-
Newcastle have been amazing, they're in great form, they looked like Arsenal at their peak a few weeks ago. They'll nick a point at Swansea.
-
By my understanding his contract is up this summer but the club retain the right to renew for one more year, so i guess that would involve us paying up based on a year left? I think with the confusion it's being spoken of as a free transfer in some places but would involves us paying a small fee.

Douglas?

This. Besides, if you can't stand criticism from fans than you have no place being on twitter as a professional footballer. either that or just don't mention football on twitter?
-
just to play devil's advocate for a second, look at all the players with seemingly quite humble attitudes, the likes of Colo, Raylor, Krul, Tiote, Ba? All have arguably improved while here, I do wonder whether Simpson might have improved a bit too if he didn't think he was the muts nuts. Feel free to give it the biggun if you back it up on the pitch, not if you're a rank average player with no competition forcing you to work for your place who regularly costs the team chances and goals.
-
do we? Santon, Perch, Raylor and Saylor can all play there, Tavernier may even get a new contract? Aye and Jonas can play left back so we dont need a new left back either. I see what you did there, look at it from the perspective of the people that actually make the decisions, do we NEED a new right back if Simpson leaves and we bring in a left back? (which by all accounts has been the plan all along)

be very surprised if we paid for yet another right footed full back this summer
