really? Aye! We were linked a few times, last January & under Keegan. Why were we after him if we didn't want him? Parking fine?

I thought this paragraph was most appropriate tbh

I think it'll happen like Skirge, especially if we make Europe.

Made a couple of good tackles yesterday but fucking hell man, that time he got turned just before their off side goal, and the time in the second half when he was running back towards our goal and just hit it aimlessly into the centre of the pitch with his left.

It might help that the players involved in our attack are actually f***ing good for once Ba, Cisse, Cabaye, Jonas....all technically and positionally competent...as opposed to Shola, Best, Raylor... Did anyone else notice HBA's reluctance to pass to Simpson? He wriggled away from a few defenders in the first half down the byline, passed to Simpson, who prodded the ball down the line into open play.. as in, not even an attempted pass... just away. Noteworthy in that it wasn't a lofted ball either. Anyway, I can't recall Ben Arfa passing to Simpson more than twice after that I remember a point in the second half where Simpson passed to him and he was instantly surrounded by a few WBA. Passing back to Simpson seemed to be the only possible option, but he tried to take them all on instead. must have pissed simpson off as well, at one point we had a throw, HBA blatantly asking for it at his feet...but simpson decided to loft it over his head to them....Hatem took it back anyway like I couldn't believe that, just rank bad decision making.

Can only second this really. Sadly I can see Carroll being used to absolutely batter Perch and Williamson. Will be a tough game for sure, especially with Suarez's ability on the ground as well. hopefully tiote is fit, sit him right in front of the flimsy back two and kick FUCK out of anyone who comes near them or pards could just throw ba, cisse & hba at them and let them worry about us...which they should be, very worried Definitely gonna be a balancing act and it depends on how they play I think, if they come at us like WBA did yesterday they'll get done on the break so I'm not so sure they will. That might play into our hands in terms of our defensive deficiencies though if we spend most of our time attacking, I wouldnt be too worried about them hitting us on the break, it's not an obvious strength of theirs and Santon, Simpson and Perch all have pace.

Really? I think he's brilliant at it, not really sure what more he needs to play there? He can do it, but I don't think it gets the best out of him. I know he likes to drop deep, but I think he's more threatening central and further forward. Might be exaggerating because he hasn't scored for a while mind, a goal or two would be great for him. He's more threatening as a centre forward but I don't think that means he isn't suited to the role he played yesterday, just means he has more to his game. With Cisse the obvious choice for the middle spot it might be a shame for Ba in terms of goals scored but it makes us pretty frightening as a front 3, he may have to sacrifice the goals for a shot at being part of a team that could do something, no doubt he's the sort of character who'll realise which is the better option.

At least twice yesterday I was shouting 'pass it, pass it, pass it.....PASS.IT.' while he was on the ball, I don't think it's a case of him realising anything, he's still the same player. When he's playing for 70/80 minutes you get the real player imo, not the one desperately trying to impress like some of us were saying. He'll do frustrating things and hang onto it too long or lose it, but as he plays more he'll do it gradually less and less, he'll also make professional footballers look like school boys an awful lot.
-
Jonas looked pretty withdrawn most of the time with Cabaye the furthest forward, at least one of them stayed back when we broke forward though depending on who had possession and where, which is exactly as it should be. The fluid movement we've been asking for. The front 3 was Ben Arfa right and Ba left of Cisse, Ba in particular worked his bollocks off for the team.

They obviously didnt see his goal against Blackburn

As a centre half you're definitely within your rights to expect a call from the keeper in that situation, whether it's to clear it or leave it for him. If that call doesn't come though you need to know how late you can leave it and clear it at that point, Krul and Williamson both failed to do their jobs but Krul could've saved Williamson by being decisive.

Watch your fucking mouth. Seriously though Perch hasn't put a foot wrong since he lost Drogba for their goal at SJP (and how many people has that happened to?). He has the confidence to play it our from the back as well so he might just stick around for a while.

Someone make that pic of Colo into a smiley, it would perfectly sum up the times he embarrases forwards by going round them with a roll over or something.

please beat these cunts please beat these cunts please beat these cunts please beat these cunts

I love his goal celebration's like, something I noticed while watching the compilations when we signed him, he celebrates like there was never any doubt he'd score.

It sort of fell to him on the edge of the box really, but I do think he's working hard. He won the ball back for our third. Oh aye, sorry. It's early! Indeed it is. I find it quite funny to think there must have been a decent amount of WBA supporters there yesterday who've never even heard of him. Obviously it doesnt happen as much these days with all the coverage but you know what it's like when an away team turns up and one of them plays like that
