obviously I have no problem with Santon at LB, i just happen to think that natural overlapping fullbacks will improve us more than ones that need to cut in a lot. if we can keep everyone else in the starting 11 and sort this out for next year we're gonna be pretty fucking good like

fwiw i've noticed him do it in pretty much every game he's played this season. it's a far cry from just not bothering to move at all when the other team have the ball, which some folk would have you believe is the case.

Interesting bit from Pardew in the Journal today For those who've doubted his defensive effort. I for one don't think that's a strong point of his but as long as he puts the effort in to close down and block passes then he's worth being on the pitch for what he offers going forward.

He's making an issue of it certainly, I'll say it again though, I really hope for his sake that his patter with the team isnt the same as the shite he spouts in post match interviews because they're going down if he's not telling them it isnt good enough. The other side of that coin of course is it doesnt matter what he says, he's assembled a pool of mediocre players and they'll play as such.

I'd say shearers were always in the top quarter of the net to the keepers right,not all the way in the corner but high,wide and hard enough to no give them much chance. Every now and then he'd go on the deck to the keepers left to mix it up.

Not surprising that our ineptitude is talked about more,in recent years they've won things,we've been relegated.

Having Tiote to win it and play it to Ben Arfa will be a massive boost over yesterday, get Ben Arfa running at them and we're bound to get chances. Further reason to keep playing him to get him back to full speed, the Ben Arfa of last season is capable of going past Terry like he's not there.

I don't think Man U are off form,but I've seen them consistently give away chances this season and not look particularly potent going forward in quite a few games. We're organised without the ball and move it quickly on the break,it's not all about them.
