what an absolute load of bollocks. given the state the club's been in since ashley took control the situations aren't comparable.
-
I tend to agree with this. Shepherd is on the BBC website, going on about how it's our "duty to support the club". It's that attitude that allowed shysters such as him and Ashley to get away with murder. exactly, as long as we keep putting the money in their pockets they have no reason or incentive to leave.
-
Have to agree. Better than I expected. And it sounded like he has fought his corner a bit in negotiations, on his staff and especially over Carroll. Time will tell how much they support him on that, of course. he's lying. he's being paid to be ashley's public face. he's there because he's been told that he has no say in who comes or goes and he accepted the job.

JUST DON'T GIVE THEM ANY MORE MONEY

7/2 on us to go down on skybet

you're not thinking like mike, think about the difference in how much we'd get for him.
-
good man, can everyone else get on this too?
-
it'll be interesting to hear how he twists that build from within shite when we sell carroll in the summer
-
that photo of him with the shirt

how long is it since we've been able to rely on the 'new manager up-turn in form'? since keegan i guess, didn't happen with jfk, shearer or hughton and certainly won't happen here

bookies know their stuff wake up

what!? they've got klinsman and we're getting alan fucking pardew!?
-
That was NE5 if memory serves my god, cock right up freddy's arse, but boy was he ever right about mike. Freddy was on Talksport this morning saying he'd have done the same thing. if i recall rightly he said he'd have appointed MON or Jol? I'd have been happy with that, discussion for a different time.
-
i happen to think that being able to apply thinking like 'if we all stop giving ashley our money he'll have to fuck off' makes me a pretty considerate person and therefore a good friend tbh, but each to their own

woodgate sale? are you mad?
-
he won't get a penny more out of me

wont make any difference, ashley will still be the one appointing the manager. only way to get him out is to deprive him of your money. can we actually get this off the ground now that it looks like pardew's on the way?
-
Exactly It really is pathetic and shameful the way Hughton has been treated... the idea that Ashley has been waiting for an excuse to do this and bring in Pardew is sickening. it'a pathetic and shameful the way WE'VE been treated mate. hughton can walk away with head held high and look for another job, we're stuck with this shit until he dies or sells.

Well your going to be bitterly dissapointed unfortunately... and gone in january

success=making money

they can say whatever they like though, doesn't necessarily mean it's true.

I do this anyway and have never bought anything iside the ground since the Keegan carry on. The fact is that the players need the crowds support so i'm not one for boycotting matches, plus why should people allow that horrible, fat, c%^t Ashley stop them going to watch the team they've supported all their life? i agree that the players need support but in all honesty if attendances and income dropped dramatically he'd be gone quick enough for it to make a significant difference to our results imo. you shouldn't allow him to stop you watching the team but if it's for greater good then it's worth thinking about. by the way, i'm not saying this is even feasible on a large scale, just don't expect banners or singing to affect him, it won't. imagine how funny it is for him and derek, thousands of people turning up to sing and shout abuse whilst happily passing over money, isn't that worse than allowing him to stop you watching? as it stands you're paying him for the privilege of watching him make mistake after mistake.

Yeah, that plan has worked brilliantly so far hasn't it. The man has a billion pounds FFS! If Pardew sees a protest against him getting the Newcastle job on Sky Sports News, do you really think he'd be up for the job? the plan has never been put into action on an organised scale. it doesn't matter if he's got a billion or a trillion pounds, if a large part of attendances and income dropped he'd be forced to sell or lose everything. I don't know Alan Pardew but i don't see why he should care, it's a pay packet, do you think without seeing a protest he'll assume we welcome him? I'm not saying don't protest, i'm saying don't expect it to have any sort of bearing on anything at all unless you stop putting money into the club.
