Tevez withdraws written transfer request
Dr Venkman replied to dinotheprehistoricgeordie's topic in Football
man city fans getting interviewed on ssn, i notice not one of them pointed out the blindingly obvious. if you buy your way to the title as quickly as they're trying to do, this is the sort of character you're going to attract, they deserve everything they get. -
we don't need to hurt him, someone should just look at him and touch their willy, it's the most offensive thing ever. actually, while typing this i've just been struck with inspiration, 50,000 people all booing him and grabbing their nuts every time he touches the ball or goes near the sideline

Definitely, this is a cause worthy of bed sheets if ever there was one.

Technically he's still very good but he's awfully unfit. The past two games he's been piss poor but when he's been called upon before that he still looked the part. The thing with Sol is you can never tell how he is mentally either. Some of the mistakes Campbell has made over the last two games have nothing to do with being unfit. he's been fucking woeful on the most part, getting caught underneath crosses, passing it to the other team and looking like an artic truck trying to turn round
-
undoubtedly, he's totally won me over this season. he's more important in link up play than i once thought, you really notice it when he's not there and we struggle with our passing game.

i'd trade shola for a bag of wotsits, and i dont even like them.

100% agree. That's what i'm worried about. But Pardew did say he wanted to build an attacking team around Carroll, Barton and Hatem that would be nice mate but unfortunately for the last few years nufc has only been about what one man wants, and it's not alan partdewridge
-
haha that keegan video is quality
-
wish he'd just fuck off tbh (provided we bring in a player of similar ability which shouldnt be too hard but probably wont be done)
-
to be honest i think it all comes down to what happens next summer. if we sell off players in form and worth money, i.e Carroll and Enrique and one or two others, and replace them with cheaper players (as i expect) then we'll know why he's been brought in. if this doesn't happen and we renew contracts of Barton and Enrique, bring in some more depth and get rid of a bit of dead wood, i'll hold my hands up and say i'm wrong.

excellent result, well done lads. especially well done kev and joey for that post match interview. -
Nail on head, we have been shit without barton and Tiote for a few games now and we have gone to shit, take them out and replace with ? It pains me to say this but most of our team at this current moment are irreplaceable and it pains me to type that we have a history of too easily letting players go. guthrie for example, i don't think he's great by any stretch if the imagination but to try and peddle him for 1-2m just seems pointless, we need a much bigger squad than we have.
-
the only one i can really see a need to shift is smith because he's useless and on high wages. every other high earner does a job and we need squad players so we can, you know, have a squad.
-
my guess is it'll be in the summer when they can get maximum fees for them+the hughton/pardew anger's died down a bit

Golfmag knew about this months ago and said so on here. Golfmag knew about this months ago and said so on here, AND, you make the assumption that this 'lucrative job' has been given to pardew on the basis that other manager's job's are given, i.e. he's the best man to improve the league position of the club. The evidence suggests other-wise (before we even mention Pardew's lack of experience and the fact that Hughton was doing well) that after meeting resistance from Keegan and Hughton over player sales Ashley's hired a public face to train and pick the team leaving him to un-challenged on his priority, which is selling assets and making profit. Where is your evidence that potential buyers were put off by fans? Articles and quotes about Ashley asking too much for the club are not in short supply. None of this is the fans fault and it's pretty disgusting you're suggesting so tbh, Ashley should be hounded out of NUFC asap, we'll be better for it in the long run.
