  1. Blind hope, but with some logic behind it. More of this please people. I'm still daft enough myself to think something might happen. i dont see why it would be SO unlikely, they've said they're in talks with us, the barnes deal falling through and the fact there's been no confrimation of zamblera (mint name btw) could all suggest we could get the deal done also bear in mind that keegan saying signings are unlikely seems to have not been related to youngsters at all, as we've just kept on signing the younguns regardless of what he's said
  2. yeah that was fucking ridiculous to be fair, used to have a bit of respect for hansen, lawrenson always has and always will be a preposterous human being though I missed MOTD... what were they saying ? 'what are they actually going to do?' 'he says he knew about it but he clearly didnt' 'WHO'S appointing them?' 'i've said it before, that sort of setup never works' 'it seems the left hand doesnt know what the right hand's doing' and my personal favourite, lawrenson finishing with 'it just goes to show that things aren't right up there, ALREADY'

  4. he's past it, legs have gone
  5. Have a look at Ameobis, he looks like Ronaldinho FFS. Aye I think someone should compile videos of all the bad things they do so you get a balanced picture of the player! somebody already did one of Ameobi on youtube. Not sure if I can post a link though for the compilation though it`s titled The Great Shola Ameobi Compilation shocking stuff haha, that could have been much, much longer to be fair
  6. for what its worth keegan's just been on ssn saying they're 'set to add to the squad in the summer in a very meaningful way' also said he didnt want to take a chance on un-proven foreigners as it was a gamble how long they'd take to settle in, if they would at all
  7. Please do I'd rather not, seeing as that would be ridiculously pathetic, not to mention distasteful. I prefer not to act or look like a complete w******, see. Funnily enough you do that every time you post on here, not forgetting the fact you're a typical coward who thinks he's anonymous I suppose you'll be in amongst Man Utd fans while your singing these songs then eh? Rather being in a big group and being protected by anonymity. i thought we weren't giving mike's big mate a nick name?
  8. FPMSL Not sure what FPMSL means but I hope it means what a load of drivel, or words to that effect. Fucking Piss Myself Laughing. And yes, at the drivel above. One of the best defences personnel wise in the country Only if that country is Andorra. Typical NM. Making ridiculas attempts at insulting people without any clever arguement or facts. Using words like Drivel to strengthen your arguement because you think you sound like an experianced, knowledgeable, hard, newcastle fan. How about you get your head out your own arse and put up some simple arguement. I don't care that you disagree. It's the fact you wander through this forum making bullshit negative comments without any sort of substance. If you disagree with what i have said then by all means say but please dont act like a complete cunt 24/7 because its boring. Expand...................................... I disagree with what you are saying about our defence. I cannot see how anyone can state that Carr, Cacapa, Enrique and Rozenhal are amongst "the best" personell in the league. Frankly, i don't think any of our defenders are in that bracket, but at least Taylor, Beye and Faye have shown the ability to do well for us, to varying degrees. If I am to be slated for "making bullshit negative comments without any sort of substance", then you should be held to task for making farcical positive statements based on no genuine substance. Oh, and if me being "a cunt 24/7" bores you - good. Wey hey, you do no how to argue. I can quite happily except being wrong because i am by no means "my opinions the only opinion" type of person. Why you couldn't have said something along those lines in the first place i don't know, instead of FPMSL. Anyway back to topic, fair do's maybe i went over bored with my positivity. However, i believe that with those players i mentioned in the squad we would at least have a european standard defence, if compared to the likes of Blackburn, Man city etc. Certainly far from a laughing stock. I believe our defensive problems are not to do with personell but more down to consistancy, communication, poor cover and teamwork. I think some of the problems between Faye/Taylor/Beye/Enrique (especially Faye and Enrique/Taylor) are definately about communictaion, and a general understanding of each other's style of play, strengths and weaknesses etc. Faye has notably been getting caught out of position a fair bit - not in a Titus Bramble "I have fuck all idea where I am, or what i am doing" way, but more in a "whops i seem to be standing here on my own" type of way. But those issues will come with a good run of games, better training, and a midfield in front of them not staffed by retards. If we had backup defenders of the quality of Beye, Faye and Taylor (or in some cases better, and soem of those 3 were the backup), then yes, i think we'd have a defence that would hold its own at 6th/7th. Enrique is an enigma, as he has shown some glimpses of being pretty good, and equally some worrying traits. Time will tell on which side of the fence he falls. However, i think that even as backup (and bearing in mind that injuries/suspensions/loss of form/etc WILL take their toll on our "first" back 4), Carr, Rozenhal and Cacapa aren't for me, good enough to step into the breach and do sufficiently well. Neither Taylor nor Faye, at the moment, appear able of carrying the likes of Rozenhal or the random Cacapa, for example, and they would need carrying i think. I think there is a difference between being good enough, and not being a laughing stock, and outside of a relatively ok (certainly 6/7th at the moment) first defensive line-up, I don't think we are good enough defensively to play at that level over the course of a season with current personnel. I agree with nearly all of that but i think Carr's improved massively under Keegan and at least looks a competant prem RB and Cacapa's capable too. I don't particularly rate Rozehnal but have hopes for Enrique. to be fair i dont think i've seen carr have a particularly bad game this season
  9. fine by me, what tune do we sing it too?
  10. For what Keegan has done for our club he deserves another crack at it. If it ends up going tits-up, so be it, there's nowt we can do about it. What we mustn't do as supporters is be influenced by the cockney press, who would 'love it' if it all goes wrong and are already trying to get the ball of negativity rolling. We can either help Kev by being 100% behind him or contribute to our own downfall be thinking negatively. If anything, the London press are helping us close ranks and generating a "them and us" attitude. you think? personally i think the booing will be back before the end of the season I would be amazed if that happened. I really hope not. Will really feel like jacking it all in if that happens. No way back after booing of KK after 4 months of trying to rescue us from Sam's mess. i'd be gutted about it but no way would i be surprised, booing at half time against villa said it all for me, first home game of the season, following a very successful first day win away, playing a good team in villa, 0-0, boos, bunch of cunts man Absolutely. We can only hope that those people that boo'd at the AV game have learnt a valuable lesson. I too have doubts over the mentality of people like that though they're idiots, and they're everywhere, there was a bloke in the pub yesterday who was livid, and i mean LIVID, whenever arsenal strung two passes together, even at 0-0, even in their own half, going 'haway man get a fucking boot in' if the pub hadnt been so busy i would have walked up to him and asked him what his problem was, unfortunately people like that dont usually take criticism too well and you cant have anything resembling a conversation with them oh and during the first derby game, someone at the bar said, after TEN minutes 'we should be hammering them by now'

  13. He's exactly the kind of player that will shine under KK tbh. not if we cant pass to him, and he usually misses anyway tbh
  14. Aye, I'm sure Ramage, Bramble and friends would have done us much prouder today. Do you post anything that's not trying to score points? Sometimes. Its a fact Dave, that for all the 7 defenders or so that have came into the club, we aren't performing any better. I think shaks post is excellent We needed c****** defenders. Whether they're defending any better is down to the manager; we still f****** needed defenders. we certainly did, had we not brought them in then the general consenus now would be we need defenders, thats not what people are saying now, now we need creative players, all this point scoring is fucking pointless, just go and have a wank tbh
  15. i thought roeder turned him and campbell down on fitness grounds
  16. i miss your avatar, i wish you weren't so 'obsessed' with that squirrel, let it lie man
  17. does it? are you sure alan? is it as appealing as pairing him with faye? who's our best centre half, do you watch the games?
  18. To be fair we are obviously paying him twice as much as they were willing to. Why else would he come here? i'm not gonna disagree with you, we probably are, but there are a couple of other reasons including having been here before and liked it, being a northern lad and being based up here for starters
  19. ahh well, obviously my feelings on this depend on how fit he's gonna stay, still, it is nice to get another player that spurs wanted, just to piss them off, haha, expect even MORE press backlash now from all the spurs journo's
  20. refuse to believe that, he cant run 2 steps without falling over, never mind dance
  21. He's this seasons Ashley Young imo, someone just begging to take a chance. Early long injury has kept his price down, i think he's technically better than Young as well although not as fast. Good competition down the right, but i'd even play him through the centre. When we played Derby at home i thought technically he stood out like a saw thumb for both teams. i'd play him in the middle, he can pass a bit, which would be nice
  22. i'd be happy with a move for barnes at about 6 million, wouldnt really want to pay more than 8 though
