  1. can i come and sit with you lot?
  2. sshh...don't let the facts get in the way of a good slagging. Give your head a shake man for God's sake. Sorry but I don't see the point in complaining about Owen when he's scored two goals even though our attacking play was blunt at best. I'm not just talking about today. In the Premiership, your centre forward has to be able to do more than just score the odd from a set piece. With the ball at his feet these days, Owen is totally impotent. He just won't put chances anymore. It's a matter of accepting that rather than categorising it as "a good slagging." Owen is still a good finisher IMO, but he doesn't offer much else, that much I agree with. The problems are much more concern in other areas of the pitch for me. Right wing, playmaker and central defence for a start. What's your evidence that he's a good finisher? Apart from a couple of scrappy tap ins (today and Stoke), he's scored one goal with his feet this season - against Barnsley. You can say we're not creating, but today, against Arsenal in the cup and against Man City off the top of my head, he's had chances that your typical Premiership striker should bury without a second thought. Had loads earlier in the season too (two simple ones against Wigan spring to mind). i agree its a worrying thing with owen where he seems to be missing more chances than he used to, but he's not as good as used to be, simple as, that said i think he's still our best striker and with a better passing team around him i think he'd be ten times the player, was pretty pleased with him today tbh
  3. Nonsense. They played some good passing football and controlled the midfield for big parts of the game. they came here to put 10 men behind the ball and get us on the counter And? They did a good job of it. ok you can go back to the boro boards now
  4. Nonsense. They played some good passing football and controlled the midfield for big parts of the game. nope
  5. well i've already said it always comes from the gallowgate so thats probably why there appeared, to you, to be fuck all i just find it a pretty sad state of affairs that the thing keegan keeps harping on about is confidence and while we find ourselves in a pretty shit situation our lot are booing already
  6. stopped reading here 'despite concerns from manager Kevin Keegan about Wise's role at the club.' speaking of which, did anyone listen to bbc newcastle today. before the game they started a little passage of conversation by saying that the 'southern media' were trying to stir shit regarding the appointment of wise, ignoring what keegan was saying etc. They then went on to question the appointment themselves saying that he had no experience in the role and could quite possibly be rubbish at the job and keegan didnt know it was gonna be him appointed, i was sitting on the metro shaking my head, for about a minute bet i looked fucking mental.
  7. sshh...don't let the facts get in the way of a good slagging. Give your head a shake man for God's sake. Sorry but I don't see the point in complaining about Owen when he's scored two goals even though our attacking play was blunt at best. he's a pretty good whipping boy because he cost a lot and he's been injured, a lot
  8. its not just about today mate as i've already said, read thread
  9. and to the people saying it was aimed at the red then fair enough, that may well have been the case, i'm not so sure it was the case at half time though, and i'm positive it wasnt the case at half time in the villa game in our first home game of the season, we went into the game top of the table and it was 0-0 when the booing started.
  10. i cant complain about people complaining? the difference is i'm trying to do something constructive that will HELP the club, you know, support? dont mention ticket prices to me, if you consider it too expensive dont pay and dont go, its not like paying to see a band, you're not guaranteed anything in sport and people need to remember this, you're exactly the sort of person i'm fighting against.
  11. first of all boro are shit, when we pushed up they just kept hitting it over the top to given (when he had the presence of mind to come for it) or out of play, they had nothing, and huth took a free kick, what in cock and balls was that all about!? given's lost his bottle, keeps getting beaten from range etc, others have said it before me. i want him replaced at the end of the season as he's only gonna get worse, yes he's been great for us but sorry, gotta go if we get in a centre half equal to faye's stature and ability i think we'll look a LOT more solid i dont need to comment on nicky butt apart from to say that with all his years of experience he doesnt seem to have leaned how to follow instructions, in the passage of play before they scored he found himself in space with time and he just toe punted it to a red shirt, keegan then got off the bench and clearly signalled to him to take his time and play it on the deck, 30 seconds later butt's in EXACTLY the same position with MORE time and he did EXACTLY the same thing, mind blowingly incompetent, we've seen enough of him, out it seemed our greatest problem today, as simple as it sounds, was going forwards, SO many times we had posession with a chance to move forwards and we turned round or went sideways, why do we keep giving the ball to our centre halves to start our moves? has it seriously come to the point where they're our playmakers? emre, WHAT the fuck is up with this little chipped ball he tries to play ALL the time? does he think he's playing in the nfl? because it never, ever works barton i thought had a decent game, owen looked improved, worst thing in the game for me though was us camped on our 18 yard box trying to defend our lead when everytime we'd pushed up they didnt have an answer to it, fucking schoolboy stuff tbh still say we need a centre half, a right winger, maybe a left, a centre mid who can pass and a big mobile striker, i'm now adding goalkeeper to that list
  12. Seriously, this needs to be stopped, its happeneing FAR too easily now, i said i could see it returning VERY quickly if keegan didnt get results (or be winning at half time) and sure enough it reared its ugly head again today at half time and again at full time. I dont want to hear 'it happens at every club now' or any of that shit, we're supposed to be newcastle UNITED. Criticism is fair and i'm all for letting steam off at the match and letting the players know what you think, shout and ball all you want but stop this pathetic pantomime booing when things dont go our way. It simply can not and will not help at all, its extremely selfish and in my opinion is spoiling our club. Like others have said before me buying your ticket is only half the deal, support the club, dont help the cunts who'd hate to see us suceed in dragging us down with the shite, i hate this 'the fans have a right to tell us how they feel' line. Yeah, we have got the right, but we've also got a responsibility as supporters to SUPPORT, if you want to boo and hiss then fuck off to the theatre. From what i can hear it usually comes from behind where i sit in the gallowgate, from the upper tier, seriously considering making a 'stop fucking booing' banner and taking it for the next game. I know we're rubbish and everyone's frustrated but i had to get this off my chest as i feel its just making a bad situation worse.
  13. Sunderland and Fulham both knew they had a good chance of getting relegated this season so they spent the money that was guaranteed them at the end of the season in advance to try and avoid that, that way if they did stay up then they would guarantee themselves another huge sum of money at the end of the next season. Nice to see you trying to start up another debate about Freddie Shepherd though, do you bring him up as much in conversations in real life? Whether it's sat having dinner with the wife or to the cashier in Tesco's etc? Perhaps you should contact a psychiatrist and tell him your troubles as they're clearly haunting you. not particularly, as I don't live in Newcastle just now, I can tell you with absolute certainty that far from him making us a laughing stock, that nobody has hardly ever said anything to me, I don't think they have even noticed nor do they care, in fact the only thing they have ever had is envy at playing in europe and buying some of the players that we have bought. Message boards aren't like real life you see. The point I make, which I'm sure people with half a brain will understand, is showing that people like you who have a major bee in your bonnet for something of very little relevance, maybe should get out a bit more and understand that in the greater perspective, most other people don't get everything right all the time and qualifying for europe more than everyone bar 4 over the course of a decade is proof of this. I think that people who make things up or twist things to discredit others at every opportunity, should be seeing psychiatrists. but why do you care so much about what people think of him/them? and dont say you dont, because you TRY and start arguments, all the time, everywhere you can, why? why dont you just let it go, if someone has a pop, respond, but people wont have a pop anymore by and large because they are history and we're trying to move forward
  14. Can you answer this please, NE5? This is the 3rd time I've asked you. Can you answer this please, NE5? Why are you assuming he'd sign players 'he didn't really want' strange assumption....And what's to say quality players he wants WILL be available in the summer. Don't you think we should have moved heaven and earth to give the mf a boost for the remainder of the season? There are still PLENTY of points to fight for... In an ideal world, we should have signed a few good players. But Keegan was only recently appointed, and hes inherited a squad with some vastly overrated and overpaid players who dont perform despite their reputation, meaning its going to be difficult to shift them - and on top of this, this was the January window when plenty of clubs arent willing to sell. I understand all of that. But tbf if I was a billionaire owner I would have conferred with one of the coaches/scouts/hangers-oners/agents/fatblokeinpub/Ventere/Jiminez/Terry Mac/agents/super-agents/bung merchants/fixers/night school truants/ nutters/ friends of nutters/ bloggers...If there was perhaps ONE player we could nick from somewhere with a bit of quality. No? Precisely. This strange defense of the current regime, when the old one would have been absolutely slaughtered is rather stange, even more so when you consider they had proved their ambition for the club many times over and over again if ashley does well for the club, takes us forward into a brave new era, and then he starts taking us backwards and has to sell up to someone so they can have a go, i'm gonna end up like you aren't i? Knowledgeable and informed about the club ? You might, if you stick to it. I'm pleased you concede they did well mind, for most of their time running the club, which is all I've ever really said myself. fyp and for gods sake dont say concede, i didnt concede anything, you're pathetic obsession with being 'right' in a world of opinions makes you sound like a teenager

All on his own too without consulting his major shareholders Terrible, this embarrassment eh. Fancy getting the timing all wrong again. Are you fucking mental? Loads of people were unhappy about the timing of Allardyce's sacking. You're just embarrassing yourself now. don't think you get the point Dave. Loads of people insinuated that the fat bastard was the only person who got this "timing" business wrong......... Clearly not. The don't "hate" the current regime for getting the "timing wrong" then >? and the question remains, why do you care THIS much about what people think of the old board?
