Newcastle United 2 - 1 West Brom - 28/10/08 - post match reaction from page 24
Dr Venkman replied to Dave's topic in Football
would've been nice to see martins anticipate a few ameobi flick ons like (i know, i know), you dont get much standing square of your strike partner. barton and guthrie far too square for their goal, and aye duff gifted it to them but it happens, i'm getting sick of enrique like, looks heavy, never plays a pass confidently, just very un-convincing. Jonas made a massive difference and it was nice not to have to shout at Butt, hopefully barton and guthrie can get a bit more organised and keep him out of the team, for the rest of time. a horrible second half, but still, Barton 2-1, £75 -
from the journal today jesus christ
-
shearer plus a couple of knowlegeable, experienced coaches, definitely
-
anyone remember how long ago it was that ashley officially said he wanted to sell? seems quite a few weeks, could be enough time for people to have done due diligience?
-
swearing's ok as long as its not aimed at anyone personally imo, like shouting 'fuck!' if you miss is a completely different thing than telling someone to fuck off. you have to let people vent their frustration if you want them to play with passion, not everyone can be articulate
-
please please please drop butt and start barton, jonas has to play aswell, and bassong for taylor, but its never gonna happen

I don't even think he's found form particulalry, but this is probably the wrong game to throw Barton in at the deep end. At home against West Brom would have been a better time for Butt to get injured. butt hasnt found form, but since we're bypassing the midfield when we have posession he isnt getting a chance to play any of those trademark killer passes to the opposition -

i dunno like, i'm one of butts harshest critics but since we've found a little bit of form in the last two games i dont know if i want to see the middle of the park change for such an important game, we could probably do with his experience for this one -
if there is going to be an annoucement i'd rather it was after the derby tbh
-
was absolutely tearing up the pitch on a counter attack, 3 on 2, 2 players ahead of him, got to the edge of the box and went arse over tit with no-one within 5 yards

Nowt on North East Tonight Hope this is true really cant see it like too good to be true, is it a wind up by the mackems? I’ll not be buying new tea towels for head wear just yet! I can’t understand the logic of those 2 brothers buying rival clubs, unless they don’t get on. are you joking? do you have a brother? i cant imagine many things being more fun tbh

got a link to the thread? i just like indulging in stuff like this

They've won 2 games this season. 2. They've managed to score 7 goals in 8 games too. so no great shakes recently, haven't they drawn their last two games aswell? like us. why exactly are they favourites? because we lost our manager and had loads of injuries?
