Definitely nothing suspect about a relative of the head coach being quickly promoted while the club are between sporting directors.

Who are these people? And what does this even mean?

As I said, I liked watching him. He was a complete waste of time in an EH team.

Newcastle United vs. Wolverhampton Wanderers: 2/3/24 @ 15:00 (No UK TV)

We'll win this. -
I missed the vast majority of the Bruce time because I didn't care, so I have no great emotional attachment to ASM. He was nice to watch and that but he usually did nothing (although I thought he was pretty good at times under EH). He couldn't play in EH's team, he was a waste of a shirt, he did nowt, Barnes will be much better in the long term.

I can understand that. For me, as long as we’re in the fight for 7th I’m satisfied, given the circumstances. I do think we need an impressive performance ASAP to get everyone’s confidence back.
-
I also think Pope has been our biggest miss.

I think some lag is completely understandable, it’s not an exact science.

Yeah, but that's ignoring the context. In Howe's time here we've been great more than we've been bad. The bad spell has corresponded with a ridiculous amount of mitigating circumstances. It's a big assumption that we're heading towards a substantial regression. In fact, Howe's time here so far suggests that he will turn it around once the mitigating circumstances abate somewhat.

Big assumption, this.

Rooney looks like retired players used to look when I was a kid. I'm all for it.

The phrase he used was 'was that pattern #'?. And yeah, there's been some stuff published on EH focussing a lot on muscle memory for how the players move when the ball is in certain parts of the pitch, through repetition.
-
Alternatively, the majority of people fall in to the 'in-between' space, and a few of them think you put across poor arguments, and tell you so.

He’s a head coach who repeatedly refers to himself as the manager.

Let’s not get carried away.

Eddie's job title to change to Manager over the Summer, Eddie's Brexit mags ride again.

There's something not right about this. Why sack Mowbray who was doing canny to bring this bloke in and sack him so quickly? Surely something else has factored in to this other than results?

That part of the interview posted above was essentially: Q: How big a blow is it to lose someone so influential? A: Not at all, he's only been here 5 minutes. I do think there's something in the fact that he regularly refers to himself as the manager, despite not being the manager.
