  1. More concerned at the lack of a new stadium tbh. Don't know what they've been playing at these past four days.
  2. It's like it's tailor-made for for whenever things turn sour.
  3. Unfortunately our circumstances mean we're ripe to have the contrarian WUMs seemingly 'on our side'. More commercial value for these arseholes in enraging the whole of football by defending the takeover than offending NUFC fans now.
  4. I totally understand everyone's eagerness for the sacking to happen and I will be extremely disappointed if I have to see him on the side line on Sunday. But I think we're so starved of things being done with a semblance of professionalism; it's not exactly a shock that they haven't binned him the first moment they've had a chance to sit down and look him in the eye. As far as it affecting match preparation goes, I quite honestly don't care about the result at this stage. There's enough matches in the season to climb up the league with a competent manager and some January additions. Sunday is solely about getting that that karmic release inside SJP for me. Hell, he could be binned on Sunday morning for all I care. As long as he's not a part of the party that SJP will be having later that afternoon.
  5. It's not like he hasn't got form with loving Souness. I love Shearer but I don't want him anywhere near making decisions on behalf of the club.
  6. Exactly why he needs nothing more than an ambassadorial role.
  7. This can't be understated enough. Your club has just been taken over by the richest owners in world football and you couldn't be fucked to change your plans on Friday, nor the weekend, and couldn't be fucked to get in until nearly the afternoon to meet them. Compared to Rafa who would've been at the ground on Friday ready to meeting the new owners before sleeping in his office over the weekend in between updating his dossier of plans for the club to show them today.
  8. FFS Piers Morgan and Simon Jordan defending the deal. Firmly entrenched in arewethebaddies.gif territory now.
  9. Part of me says he wouldn't be all that bad for Derby. He'd want them hovering at the bottom of the PL more often than not for SD exposure so that is already an improvement on their last 20 years. But then I remember he lucked out in enforcing his tat empire-building philosophy on a club with some of the hardest-to-drop stadium attendances of the PL era, that also happens to get the most media coverage outside of the obvious suspects to keep it ticking over without a modicum of effort. I say he has them staring relegation to League 2 in the face by the time he's done with them.
  10. I'm going to tell myself if he's not packing his boxes of Quavers and Monster Munch today then they've just tried to be polite and treated this day as a bit of an 'interview' considering this is the first time they'll have spoken to him. Then they'll be back in tomorrow to tell him they don't think he's the right man to lead their vision of the club. Ultimately it's not like letting him hang on for an extra day will change the training situation as he undoubtedly just stands on the sidelines while Jones takes charge at the best of times.
  11. That's pretty newsworthy for Brucey, takeover or not.
  12. You do you, my friend. I'm getting as many out of my system as possible to make Sunday's celebration last as long as possible.
  13. Another day of celebration awaits!
  14. I think it's time we seek an upgrade tbh.
  15. How dare you disrespect his two coveted Playoffs trophies? Can't believe he finally got a manager of the month award and it was with NUFC.
  16. Is this for real? What's his excuse? Could imagine if he were to stay in charge he'd just keep making an excuse for why each extra game didn't count until he finally flukes a win on his 'real' 1,000th match.
  17. Not to deflect from their wrongdoings but I would actually be very interested to see the reaction if the club were taken over by a group with just as terrible a background but a fraction of the wealth. I dare say you wouldn't hear a peep from half the amount of people currently up in arms. We should by all means acknowledge the wrongdoings of our club's new owners and there would still be a more than vocal group airing their displeasure over it I'm sure. But to act like that is the reason a lot of outsiders, especially those directly involved in the sport, are pissed off is absolute bollocks imo. Just look at the obvious example of Levy trying to sell his own club to the same people but because it looks to threaten their already-wavering seat at the top table, he suddenly thinks it's an absolute disgrace.
  18. Has anyone ever gotten this much hype over a milestone like this btw? Just illustrates how utterly pointless his career has been that he's shouting so much about such an ultimately inconsequential event. And, obviously, makes it that much funnier that he won't get it with us.
  19. Looking like he stays on for another few weeks. Probably nothing more than a case of having someone around that knows the passwords.
  20. Call it recency bias but he easily surpassed Pardew for me. Only differences between the two imo are Pardew had better streaky spells in him and Bruce tries to act like he's one of the fans.
  21. Didn't someone say an Amazon van was at the ground earlier? Maybe they start filming on Monday and that's why they're letting him stew over the weekend.
  22. Think I recall seeing a rundown of the circle of Bruce from a fan of a former club (might have even been brummie on here) and it including this sort of stuff, highlighting abuse that's just 'not on' from fans etc. Seems it's always been his MO to deflect from his own failings as quickly as possible. Although it's impressive how often he likes to say he can take criticism before batting away any criticism as unfair.
  23. I think the difference is The King genuinely believed he had the ability to turn things around if he was under pressure. Greaseball knows he's in over his head. mixed with absolutely no shame and you get a cocktail of his tears every fucking interview.
  24. Thought I was going mad until I saw this post.
