  1. Don't know why you missed out that last line. He really said that last bit? Not that I've found. But I had to Google it myself to make sure and that's worrying in itself.
  2. If she cares so much about who owns our club why doesn't she buy it? HUH?
  3. It's also obviously skewed by how tight Ashley has been with the majority of managers, having owned the club during some of the most insane increases to transfer fees. But as you say, it's a clear counter to the bullshit 'he's making do with what he has' argument. He's now ahead of McClaren and am I wrong in recalling that it was widely accepted he got a decent chunk to spend? Or am I just thinking within the NUFC fan bubble?
  4. Fucking hell. Does that actually stack up? That's utterly rancid.
  5. You'd guess they'll nab it a few more times as you go through the early 00s where the title stays within the PL in Universe 1? EDIT: Always forget just how quickly that stonking young team was dismantled. Only three more seasons left of them in the PL.
  6. This is where you need to start alternate universes. Want to see where it ends up if it sticks with relegated teams now. I mean, you did say it doesn't take you long...
  7. It's got f*** all to do with the takeover, it's only people in this thread that are connecting the two and it's, quite frankly, a bit embarrassing. It's not driven by some grand conspiracy against NUFC, we are peripheral in all this and not even being mentioned in this particular instance. Exactly it is embarrassing. There is nothing which can link this two up. It is also shameful to side with MBS on this killing of the journalists. Grow up guys it is below the point of decency on this. Depends really. If we're talking about a Caulkin then, yeah, fuck that shit. If it's an Edwards or a Ryder then....meh, maybe we can let one or two slide. How generous of you to put those two in the journalist category.
  8. Got me curious so I had a Google and there's a fairly recent article that puts Blanc 1st and Strachan 2nd in managers who have played under Ferguson: https://www.manchestereveningnews.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/man-utd-alex-ferguson-managers-18196690. Not a particularly glowing list if Keane sneaks in at tenth. Would love to see someone do a full analysis of managers and their level of playing experience tbh. I'm inclined to say if you looked across the board there wouldn't be much of a correlation either way but would be interesting to see.
  9. Froggy and Ole sittin' in a tree. B-U-M-M-I-N-G.
  10. Wow. And to think I was only dreading the Hatice talk when I clicked to view this final page.
  11. Had a decent sleep after that. Must be like counting sheep. Will do a bit more later I want to know who the reigning champions are now. Won't complain. Looking forward to the next ones and I'm too lazy to do owt like that myself.
  12. Couldn't even be arsed to listen to him. I was just so taken in by Kenny looking like an awkward schoolchild through that whole clip. Gormless grin n'all.
  13. Being first in line to the hot new prospect in the next draft. And on that note, am I crazy for wondering if a big enough rift could make drafts possible in football? Now wondering whether they could implement a draft system for the new Euro league. Players available to sign choosing to 'declare' for the new league?
  14. I'd love to watch a race to the bottom. Especially if they do so and their former leagues tell them to get fucked when they come crawling back.
  15. It doesn't read like Uefa are particularly behind this so far; only refers to it being FIFA-backed. Wonder what kind of chasms this could cause in football in general, not just the PL.
  16. Probably not until about three years in when they realise their revenue reflects the fact the glory hunters have scarpered. That's the only point they'll care.
  17. It would be so satisfying to watch it go to a vote of some sort and the other 14 support them in fucking off. EDIT: Just saw that article mentions 'up to five clubs'. Poor Spurs just want to be loved, man.
  18. What's even more ridiculous is the fact that getting Pickford banned for any length of time would ultimately help Everton.
  19. Yeah I didn't ever really believe it was Edwards but that last post was very Edwards-esque. If nothing else, I don't see how someone can take being compared to Edwards as anything but an insult so it still works for me.
  20. Harsh on Rod, that! Not quite as bad as believing a random on here because he gets team news though, is it? Knowing someone who knows someone on the first team staff =/= having any sort of source with Ashley, his solicitors, or the now non-existent 'consortium'. Still, probably a step up from the parody Twitter account! Ey up. School has finished for the day. The thing is, I don't put particular stock in what the likes of Mimms and Ando put in here. Fair play for passing on any info they can; nothing against them doing so. I just won't trust much at all until an official announcement comes out as I feel any info that gets out will be a calculated move. That being said, I still trust them more than the majority of journalists out there. Journalists who seem to have a bit of a bee in their bonnet over some posters on a football forum somehow having more inside tracks, however minor they may or may not be, than they do. But hey, there's always Maurris, eh, Penn[/member]? [move] [/move]
