Talk of getting N'Zonzi as well who I think would be a very good squad player. Not really seen anything of Oviedo but read good things so he should be good back up for Baines & Pienaar. Supposedly getting that 17yr old striker from Kilmarnock as well. I don't know what's going on at Everton anymore, multiple signings in a window. For actual monies. This must be what being a fan of every other club is like.

Modric all day long for me. Dembele is very good until he gets to the penalty box IMO. You've just named Modric's biggest fault too. Last two seasons- Modric has 9 goals & 9 assists. Dembele has 7 goals & 8 assists. I think they're at a similar level but prefer Dembele because he's more direct, stronger, faster and more versatile. Modric is more intelligent but his price is very inflated imo whereas Dembele's is reasonable. Good business by Spurs.

Spawned its own hashtags now. #FullKitWankers #KopiteBehaviour Kopite behaviour is a term that's been used by blues for ages. They tried to reclaim it with a banner at a derby game. Most of the full kit pics did the rounds a while back too, just that other fans are cottoning on to what a gang of weirdos that lot are now
-
Is it just me that would rather have Dembele in my team than Modric? Think the latter is massively overrated tbh. Dembs for me, like.

It's not irrational, the man's a cunt frankly.

No Baines transfer then. Heard rumours a while ago he didn't want to go to Man Utd (or anywhere else), seems it was true

We're still 125/1. Liverpool/Spurs at 40/1 It's because the bookies are much more exposed to Liverpool doing well. Their arrogant mongy fans will have staked WAY more on bets like that than Spurs & Newcastle fans combined. Nothing to do with the actual quality of the team.

His finishing and final ball are consistently pretty poor. Not up to the same standard as his general play. From what I read about Michu when he signed it seemed like a steal. Today confirmed it.
-
Should be a good signing for them, unfortunately. Ross Barkley to Olympiakos for the season?! Can't see that. Strongly linked with Sheff Wed on a shorter team loan.

Kevin Mirallas to Everton rumour gathering a bit of speed…

What's wrong with his attitude? Unless i've missed something i've never seen him in the papers for the wrong reasons and on the pich he always seems fully committed to the cause? Not that type of attitude problem. He's far too laidback and nice on the pitch. He's got no aggression, hunger or will to win which results in him floating round the centre circle not doing much of anything. He's got all the ability to be a top player but never seems to impose himself on a game.

Sorry yeh, I forgot about Man Utd

Not a priority. 2nd best defence in the league last season. Right wing and a back-up for Jelavic are most needed.

Graeme Bailey @SkyGraemeBailey Jack Rodwell move to Man City will be the third biggest in Everton history, only eclipsed by Wayne Rooney and Joleon Lescott sales. So at least £15m. Not to go all Martin Jol (I'll report later what the U12s are having for dinner) but seeing a lot of rumours that it's nearer the £20m mark. Would be very good business IMO, but of course the question is what Moyes will see of that. Would like to think somehow we've included a potential loan deal for Johnson perhaps. Would be class. £15m plus add ons according to Greg O'Keefe. Add ons go up to £20m according to Dave Prentice. Good deal
-
Just read a report saying City are trebling Rodwell's wages He was already on about 40/45k which in terms of performance, he wasn't worth. Crazy.
-
We're desperate for a right winger. I don't think he'll go for Donovan on a permanent though because of his age.
-
If the reports of £15-20m are right then that's a good deal for us as long as Moyes gets the money. Rodwell has got everything.Technique, athleticism and versatility. What he's never shown is any heart or guts and that's why he never fulfilled his potential & nailed down a place with us. Have big doubts he will fulfill it at City either unless something drastically changes in his mentality. He's far too content to just float around not doing much of anything while games pass him by.

 Amazing. Can't believe I missed it!
-
I'm convinced he's going to balls the inevitable penalty up. Even if he scores, it's a s*** way to do it. I'd rather keep the possibility going that his first goal will be a last minute winner that slices off his shin and deflects four times on its way to the net.

Can't believe you got a 25% sell-on clause as well! Absolute mugging

There's also a stat that we have won over 60% of our games with Williamson, it really doesn't mean anything. Also as i mentioned before Lescott got hype at Everton based off the season where he scored over 10 goals as a LB which is where most of his good and consistent performances came. I'm not denying Lescott is a good defender, he is but he isn't CL level as last season showed and Agger is as he's shown many times. I really get the feeling Agger is not rated on here because A. he plays for Liverpool B. He's constantly injured. Lescott is a lot like Vermealen IMO, two defenders who are technically good and score a decent amount of goals for a defender but both are in a positional sense wise very rash, it's funny Agger's supposed lack of positional sense is brought up because that's the exact thing Lescott struggles with. Totally, totally, totally wrong. Baffled as to why you are trying to tell me about his best performances at Everton when I'm a season ticket holder there. Does'nt mean your right though does it just like you could correct me something about Newcastle doesn't automatically mean you would be wrong. The season when Lescott scored 10+ goals he played the majority at LB because Baines was injured ( only making 20 appearances) and he got a lot of hype through his goalscoring performances and you had Yobo and Jags at CB for the majority of games. Which is one of the reasons City spent all that money on him, he actually was used as a LB at City at first because of this before they decided to buy some natural LB's. It wasn't the season he left, he still had another season at Everton but that was the season that got people interested in the first place.... the following season he played CB. His best performances were at CB, not LB. I know because I watched every minute of every game he played, a hell of a lot of them in person. Did you? The season you're banging on about when he got 10 goals, he rotated between CB & LB. Moyes brought Yobo in because Valente was being phased out and Baines just wasn't trusted yet by Moyes, not injured as you keep saying. The previous season Lescott was CB all year and won Players' Player of the Season. He started off as CB at City, rotating with Kompany. He played LB later on iirc because Kolo Toure was captain so the manager wouldn't drop him when Kompany came into his own. It was also before Kolarov & Clichy signed.

iirc there was a stat saying City's win percentage last season was much poorer without Lescott than without Kompany. The 'Lescott relies on Kompany' view is extremely lazy. Also shows how ignorant people are to just how good the Lescott/Jagielka partnership was before Jags' serious knee injury in May 2009. I wouldn't have swapped them for any other pairing in the league back then.
-
Lescott is clearly better in the air as well. More confident in him in 1-on-1 situations too. Agger is still a very good player like and a lot better on the ball, Lescott's technique isn't exactly the best. If I was picking one though I would always go with Lescott. More solid and reliable. You can never underestimate the value of a good CB partnership either, him & Kompany are brilliant together so Mancini would be crazy to split them. Anyone they buy should only be a Savic replacement.
