  2. He went to Swansea on loan and couldn't get a game there either. He's probably just not very good and was overhyped from the beginning.

A video was put on youtube some weeks back of him pissing about in a Ferrari or something on the roads in Spain while drinking a can of Mahou. He's an idiot. Also saw an interview with Jelavic the other day, where he was saying Moyes gave Drenthe a lot of chances and he ended up going too far (rumour at the time was he turned up late and hungover/still pissed for the coach to the FA Cup semi with Liverpool).
  4. Everton and West Brom linked with Toivonen today.
  5. Ralf Rangnick has been interviewed for the Everton job... didn't see that coming.
  6. http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/22691205 BBC saying he's resigned too.
  7. Wigan journo who broke the story on twitter said he'd resigned.
  8. What's wrong with it? It is clearer and more modern than your old badge. Your old badge had horrible-ass gradients all over the show. No laurel wreaths, a tower that looks like a 5 year old tried to draw a beehive, Leeds-esque colours, no motto and just generally looking extremely cheap, tacky and amateurish. Which is exactly what it is, amateurish. I actually agree that the badge needs updating (the current version is a bit of a mess in itself) but they didn't even bring in a proper graphic design agency to modernise it, instead doing it on the cheap by letting the 'in-house design team' (aka failures who design ticket stubs for a living) loose on it. I've calmed down a bit now and won't be sending my ticket back unless we hire Iain Dowie but I do still wish a horrible death upon everyone involved in this clusterfuck In 2 days there's been universal uproar from the fanbase, a petition with almost 20k signatures against it, an anti-twitter account with a load of followers, most popular news story worldwide on the BBC and negative coverage in every paper, which tells me this won't last past next season. In their infinite wisdom, the club have already ordered millions worth of merchandise, kits, signage, fittings, stationary etc so they can't change it for the new season. Fucking mongs.

I personally think Sanchez is terrible. Would he honestly get a game at any other club that has ambitions of competing for honours? I think not.
  10. I hope anyone who was involved in the design and approval of our new badge dies a horrible, slow, painful death. Absolute fucking disgrace. Considering getting a refund on my season ticket over this shit.
  11. Can see the headline now: 'Toon Set Goal Drought Record'
  12. Supposedly in one of the Portugese papers today that Perreira flew to London to have a meeting with a 'top ten' Prem club, which I'd assume is us. Interesting if true. No compo to pay so Bill will be in his element In any case, think Martinez would probably rather stay in the Championship with Wigan than go to bloody Stoke. Couldn't get a worse match.
  13. Everton playing some seriously sexy football. Should be ahead.

Nah. McClean was just pace and a raw, direct style that teams didn't know how to handle for half a season. Once that novelty factor wore off, McClean had nothing else to fall back on. McManaman has got trickery and miles better technique. Think he'll be a decent player for the long term.
  15. Is that one of Portsmouth's players?? I know times are tough there, but he looks like he should be playing for the U14's.

I think Monaco will be. Look, for what it's worth the same was said about Zlatan and PSG and they gave Barcelona a good matchup in a CL tie. Monaco has an owner and unfortunately money is taking over, unhealthy clubs like yourself and Real are causing other clubs to have new owners who invest s*** loads. French league also becomes better as they'll attract players from that league and therefore more money is invested into teams around the league, unfortunately this won't happen if the tax laws really come into play. FWIW though, the French league has now four very capable footballing teams. Barcelona an unhealthy club? I'd imagine he means unhealthily rich and dominant, which clubs like Barca, Real, Bayern & Man Utd are. Indisputable really. If any club wants to compete with those very biggest clubs then they have to go down the billionaire owner route. Otherwise they will just be cherry picked as soon as they pose a threat (as we'll see with Dortmund this summer).
  17. Jol making noises about the Everton job now. Not my number one choice but would be a safe pair of hands, and certainly a hell of a lot better than the likes of Lennon & McKay
  18. Never noticed that before

    Sir Alex Ferguson

I agree apart from he pundited a game on 5 live where players were surrounding the referee after the whistle due to a wrong decision (real madrid v United?) and he said "if I was the manager I would encourage that". Seemed a twattish thing to say but I dunno, fits n pretty well I guess Really?? Because his Everton teams barely ever say a peep to the ref, even when we get mugged by terrible decisions. Something that's always pissed me off about our side. Too nice and naive.

Not buying the Lennon talk at all. Kenwright will be absolutely slaughtered if he is stupid enough to appoint him.

Handily, he won't be managing Everton in these games. He had the talent at his disposal to win plenty of those games. They just choked all the time. Including from winning positions like in the Cup final vs Chelsea and the Semi vs Liverpool. This year was arguably the worst ever bottle job, at home to Wigan in the Quarters. Whole team shrivelled under the expectation that going to Wembley was a formality and Moyes s*** the bed with a negative team selection. And we can sympathise with you on that score. http://p.twimg.com/A2JajjBCQAArD8I.jpg:large

Fair play, you'd be infinitely better placed to talk about those games than me. It might be slightly presumptuous, but I do believe he'll fare better with an improved, and already existing, team ethos and better players. Yeah, he will do. As I said in another post further up, he's lucky that the winning ethos is already firmly entrenched within Man Utd's squad.
  23. Could see the logic in that actually. He's already made comments to the media about how great we are, angling for the job Fortunately he's got no chance. Aside from failing at QPR and doing the dirty on Fulham, which probably rule him out anyway, he also burned all his bridges here with his crass handling of the Lescott saga. Phil Neville suggested as an option. Any chance of him getting the job? If there is then there's a great chance of my season ticket going back for a refund. Hate the c***. Aside from him being totally unqualified!

My biggest criticism of him is that in 11 years he never fostered a true winning mentality here. Pretty much every big game we ever had, him and his team choked. He's lucky that the winning mentality is already deeply ingrained at United with a core squad that doesn't tend to have a high player turnover.
