Sold Vaughan for £2.5m to Norwich yesterday. & Pienaar for £2.5m in Jan. The Barton to Everton story is in a few of the papers tomorrow. Would have hated him here in the past but he's changed my opinion on him in the past couple of years. Less happy with the Jay bloody Bothroyd stories.... Don't Everton have a strict wage structure and how will Barton fit into that with his current high wages? Although it will make sense with Barton's crosses from the right for Cahill to feed on if the move does happen. Arteta earns 70k & Heitinga is on 60k so his current wage wouldn't break the structure. Think he's more likely to be offered less on a longer deal though. The club wouldn't give Pienaar the 60k he wanted & I reckon Heitinga will be moved on in the summer. He's one of several big earners we could afford to lose (Yak, Yobo & Bily too)

Long & Doyle won't be cheap. I reckon you're looking at probably £6m a piece for both of them. Wolves bought Doyle for around that much and won't accept less if he moves on. Reading won't sell Long cheaper than they sold Doyle either when he arguably looks a better prospect. Wouldn't mind Long at Everton actually. Not as keen on Doyle.

That's why I said "could" Sewelly JP Kissock is a strange one, mind. I know someone who has coached him and says he should easily be playing league football. He's a real flair player but very small and lightweight. Loads of clubs have looked at him but not taken him on because of concerns about his size. Even Southport themselves had him on trial in the summer and rejected him. Then, when he did the business elsewhere, they came back in.

It would take wild horses to drag Appy Arry away from Wembley if he was offered the job.

Got Barkley mixed up with Bidwell then & posted a daft reply Anyway, be nice for some of them to get a run out and an idea of what being around the first team is all about.

Everton won the Academy league final tonight 2-1 against Fulham. Missing 4 key players as well (2 injured and 2 on England duty). Future could be bright

Apparently Rubin Kazan tried to buy him in Jan but he wasn't interested.

I think Moyes would snap your hand off for half our money back. Most fans would be happy to see the back of him as well. Good technique and a great shot on him but spends 99% of his time doing absolutely fuck all. Really slow & weak too.

If you couldn't afford Jags in the summer then you certainly can't afford Baines.

I don't like Norwich at all. Mike Walker, Delia Smith calling us a 'managers graveyard' and a small club , Mike Walker, a racism incident with their fans at Goodison, Stephen Fry being on the board... did I mention Mike Walker?

Not saying he should be in the England side but if you're picking a form XI then Leon Osman has genuinely been outstanding for the last 6-8 weeks.

Arsenal need at least one proven quality Premier League centre half. Probably two since Vermaelen seems quite injury prone. Djourou & Koscielny are just nowhere near good enough. If they played for say, West Ham or Wigan, then you wouldn't look twice at them. Jagielka would be perfect for them but they won't get him. They already failed to sign him last summer (probably because Wenger won't pay the going rate) and since then Jags has recently signed a long-term deal. Cahill is probably the next best option and I would imagine he is more attainable since he is stalling on a contract. Samba would be cheaper again and is a solid, no-nonsense centre half. Cahill & Samba would also give them a much needed goal threat on set pieces. Clichy has gone rapidly downhill in the last couple of seasons and needs replacing. Not sure Gibbs would be consistent enough to be that man despite his daft England call ups. I just can't see them paying big money to sign a proven performer like Baines (worth about £20m imo), Enrique (£15m-ish) or someone from abroad though. A striker of similar quality to RVP is a must. He spends a big chunk of every season injured. Goalkeeper is an area they need to improve. Whether Chesney is good enough to be number 1 is debatable, he looks a big talent but a more experienced player would be desirable. At the very least though, they need better back-up options to the lad than Almunia and Fabianski who are both shite. In midfield they haven't got much quality on the left with Arshavin and Rosicky flattering to decieve. Probably more pressing a need is a defensive midfielder. I rate Song highly but when he's out, who comes in? There's nobody to do that job. You're looking at a summer of big changes with 6 or 7 players needed and a similar number shipped out if they want to win the title imo. 99.9% likely Wenger won't even dream of doing that though. He's deluded.

The goal that probably wasn't cost me £150. Bastard linesman.

Gignac is shit.

Rooney was playing for Manure two days before Bobby was sacked. The only kernel of truth the fat t*** has come out with was we were pretty close to signing Rooney. IMO we would have signed him if this fat bloater hadn't bragged on live TV that we were after him. Absolutely no chance at all of Newcastle ever signing Rooney. It was all bluff to make NUFC look good, for Freddy to help out Stretford and his mates at ProActiv and most importantly, for Man Utd to get their man.

Did you not read your own link? Says it's not Zaragoza.

Amber is our traditional away colour but it's the first time we've had it for quite a while actually. I like the home kit apart from the gold on the collar... should be nothing but white trim imo.

The whole thing is just a farce. They should have scrapped it altogether when Giggs won it the other year.

If they stop City winning something then Tony Pulis should be knighted

Don't remember Hangeland being massively s*** at all. Remember quite the opposite actually. Was pretty good from the very outset. He had a very poor first season for Fulham. Your memory can't be too good if you think otherwise.

They're not called fucking Manchester.

I might write a blog post about Everton making a £20m bid for Fabregas.

I went off Jarvis completely at the weekend when I watched Tony Hibbert have him in his pocket for 90mins.
