Wow, hope it works out for you. He's not dissimilar to Sissoko really, in that he is a physically imposing central midfielder who is more suited to a more attacking role than as a midfield destroyer. How do you plan to use him? When everyone is fit I'd imagine we'd play a midfield 3 of Gibson holding, Fer going box to box and Fellaini playing furthest forward (unless Fellaini is going, in which case you'd have Osman in there) I was shocked City came in for Rodwell and not Fellaini. All the fans had pretty much given up on Rodwell and were happy to see the back of him when City came calling. Fellaini's release clause was confirmed as being more than £24m btw. Think he will go in the summer but hopeful he will stay put during this window. Any idea how much more? Same he has one at all, all 4 clubs I mentioned should be involved in a bidding war in the summer for him (but still surprised no one took the opportunity to nab him now) Nope, probably under £30m though tbh. I think we had to include a clause to get him to sign a 5 year deal last season. Don't think Arsenal will be in the running for him, mind. Firstly, they are never willing to pay the going rate for anybody (they only bought Arteta because he was coming off a bad season, and we wanted to shift his big wages off the books, so he was allowed to go for a knock down fee). Secondly, their team continues to weaken every season and the future doesn't look very bright at the Emirates imo. Fellaini can have his pick of most clubs in Europe so I certainly don't see him leaving us for Arsenal.

Fer deal confirmed. Looks exactly the type of player we're missing in the middle

He'd be a good signing for your lot n all since Miralles has been a bit of a perma-crock. Moyes tried to get him on loan with a view to a permanent when he was at Lokomotiv iirc.

Trouble is, they've been consistently losing money during that period, despite that fairly small net spend. They usually have to sell to break even, and they usually don't break even. We have the worst, most incompetent board in the country bar none but because Bill Kenwright is a media luvvy it never gets a mention in the press. In fact, he actually gets loads of sycophantic praise for being a "great chairman" They haven't invested a single penny in the club, either on players or the stadium, have cocked up two stadium moves, sold all of our property assets, sold the new training ground for buttons (which we now rent back every year for a fortune) and increased our debt in a big way. All this, while TV money and ticket prices have gone through the roof. The mismanagement of the club is shocking. Anyway, I don't think Fellaini will go in January because he hasn't really been agitating for a move and there would be uproar from the fans if we sabotaged our CL chances ourselves. Think it's generally accepted he'll probably be off in the summer though.
  10. Not exaggerating when I say there's only been 2 games this season where he hasn't cost us a goal with a mistake. Easily the worst keeper in the league on current form. Unfortunately, Moyes loves him.

Osman should have been in and around the England squad for years tbh instead of rank average plodders like Barry. He's a decent Prem player but has looked much more suited to European games where his technique and quick feet aren't hindered by his slight build and lack of pace which can happen when you're playing against the likes of Stoke at 100mph. Just hope he gets given a go at centre mid rather than shoved on the wing or the press will crucify him.
  12. Nevermind the fact that he should have been sent off twice over for awful, shithouse challenges on Mirallas & Distin. He's a horrible twat.
  13. I thought he'd signed for you until the teams were announced. What happened there? I thought Kompany tweeted about how good he'd be for Everton. Paperwork not completed in time at Brugge's end on deadline day. I didn't think any of their players stood out tbh aside from their centre forward who I thought was particularly poor. Odidja did look a very good player. It was hard for anyone playing in the middle of the park to stand out last night as everything went down the sides, but he played a very good defensive role for them and distributed the ball very well. Cheers
  14. Why weren't Nelsen & Diakite sent off then? Just as many if not more fouls than Pienaar. And the one Pienaar got his second yellow after, wasn't even a foul. Ref was awful all game (both teams should have had a pen btw) and blatantly bowed to crowd pressure when he sent Pienaar off. Weak & out of his depth.

Our reserves could probably beat Torquay in a League Cup match. Should we then start them against a Premier League side in the next match. Poland and San Marino are not in any way congruent and the results against them don''t have much correlation If you want to put in youth just for the sake of it, then I understand, but imo Cole is better than Baines and Defoe is better than Welbeck (who I don't rate particularly highly). I think Cole will still be better than Baines in 2014 as well. If Hodgson or any other England manager fails to qualify you, they will be sacked. Achieving qualification is simpler using experienced players rather than inconsistent, unproven young ones. International football is really a vicious cycle and many teams suffer because of it. Cole hasn't been as good as Baines for the last two years, nevermind better. And 2014?
  16. Because he's one of the most arrogant shitbags on the planet? Or maybe they just don't like goatees.
  17. Not last season. Hardly ever tracks back & anytime he gets fouled and doesn't get a free kick he'll throw a strop and sit on the floor while the game is going on. Total waster. He gave us a few moments of individual magic during the season but that's not enough. I don't think any manager will sort his head out.
  18. Joke, although not the most embarrassing attendance of the night. 14,000 at Celtic. I nominate the 21k at Leeds, even though Everton took 5k there. Shite.
  19. Think we'll be something like: Howard Hibbert Jags Distin Baines Naismith Osman Neville Pienaar Fellaini Jelavic Just a bit worried about Neville in the middle instead of Gibson, who has been great for us.

Townsend is from another planet. Gerrard his motm if he hadn't been sent off so he gave it to Lampard Both of them have been absolutely woeful. Gerrard especially, he's ready for the scrap heap.

I wish Baines would tell England to fuck off. Cunts don't deserve him. Total waste of his talent.
  22. Couldn't call it either way at the mo. You haven't started well but still have dangerous individuals like Cisse and Ben Arfa. Although we had two great performances vs Man Utd & Villa, by all accounts we were dreadful vs WBA at the weekend and deserved the loss. Gibson might be out as well which would be a huge blow for us (not joking, he steadies the midfield a treat).
