  1. I'll be glad to get it out of the way. It's too easy to look at the table and think "oooh, win that game in hand and look where we'd be". I think it will be a tough game. Both of us have a few injuries - Everton may have more missing but ours are all central and defensive/defensive midfield. Well, luckily for you we have nothing to defend against so your injuries won't be a problem. Will be surprised at anything less than 3-0.

    RIP Gary Ablett

RIP Gary. Gave me one of my best moments as a blue in 1995.

Don't see that being true. MON wide players have to be fast, direct & all about whipping in crosses to whatever big man he's playing up front. Pienaar is the opposite of that.
  4. You only ended up bossing it because Cabaye went off, and we also had Tiote out injured. These players are vital to our team and not having them makes a massive difference. We can barely see you all the way down in 16th. And we had no Fellaini who is just as vital to us.
  5. How the fuck are you lot second?? If we had anything remotely decent up front we'd have won that. Can see you coming down to earth with a bang after your next two games.
  6. Free agent in the summer. Already been making noises about wanting to stay.... but, we'll see.
  7. What is your team? #everton to face Newcastle: Howard, Hibbert, Baines, Jagielka, Heitinga, Coleman, Drenthe, Neville, Rodwell, Osman, Saha. ‎#everton subs: Mucha, Bily, Stracqualursi, McFadden, Distin, Cahill, Vellios. Not happy with Gueye & Barkley not being on the bench. McFadden isn't even fit & Strac is one of the worst players I've ever seen in the Prem.
  8. Cahill has been shite for over a year now. I'm glad he's not playing. Still, can't see anything other than a home win here tbh.

He can join the club of Moyes' favourites who play every week. No matter how s*** they perform or how many better players we have on the bench. For all the hype Moyes gets about bringing youngsters through, he has treated the likes of Barkley, Gueye & Velios appallingly. why isn't Drenthe starting? He's not in the club. He'd rather bench Drenthe & move Osman from the middle (where he's good) to out wide (where he's shit) just to accommodate Cahill who hasn't had a genuinely good game for about a year.

    Everton, screwed?

No chance in hell he has. They leak feel-good stories like potential takeovers every time there is some pressure on Kenwright. They have been doing that for years. No one wants them. For years, Moyes has been the only one stopping a fallen great club plummeting down the leagues. No, we haven't. At the public inquiry into the Kirkby stadium last year it was categorically stated that EFC is not for sale. They only say otherwise in the press to placate the fans.

    Dan Gosling

Are you actually that stupid? Seriously?

The guy who chipped in the 3rd most goals last season for your squad despite only playing 28 games is holding you back..... Accommodating him ruins our balance, shape and play. And his legs are going so his one attribute apart from the goals, the work rate to 'defend from the front' and get in peoples faces, is also diminishing. I love the fella. His attitude, goals and commitment have been great but I think he's getting past it now.

No, the main reason being that there are still plenty of worse teams in the league despite Beckford & Arteta going. Moyes hasn't had a shit squad to work with since 2004/5-ish. Even now, it's only up front where we have shit options but it's been Moyes' choice not to cash in elsewhere to reinvest in strikers. Even when we sold Lescott for big money, we were desperate for a forward. So he bought a direct replacement (Distin), a pointless utility player (Heitinga) & yet another central attacking midfielder (Bily). btw those talking about Neville & Cahill- they hold the team back these days. Pisses me and a lot of other people off that they're still automatic picks for Moyes. We'll finish about 10th imo.
  15. This. I'm sure the irony will be lost on Joey. He's an absolute clown, decent player or not.
  16. I like Beckford and wouldn't sell him to you. After a bad start, he improved as the season went on and I think he'll do well for us if he gets regular games. His movement is excellent. If we had a partner for him that could hold the ball up and play him in then he'd be pretty prolific imo.

After the season Arteta just had a move would probably suit both player & club tbh. He's also got a young son now. Can't see Bilbao being able to pay a high enough transfer fee though? Mind you, I'd love nothing more than for him to stay here and get his form back because he's a class act.

O'Shea isn't too bad. He's basically the younger generation Phil Neville- model pro, utility player, very experienced etc Brown is a poor signing though.

Most of them aren't actually very good. That's why. Only Nasri is a genuine top class player and he looks to be on his way out. Arshavin has regressed massively in the past year or so, Rosicky is average & Walcott is a speed merchant who never performs consistently. Who else is there? Vela? Never did anything special at WBA. Overall, not a very inspiring list of options in wide areas.

It'll stop the ugly bastard scoring in seemingly every single bloody derby as well.

    Sunderland...

Just me who thinks Craig Gardener is a decent player then? Reckon they've massively overpaid for Wickham though & the only thing Larsson has to offer is set pieces.

More likely the former since it's well known that Baines wants to stay in the area. No chance he's gonna agitate for a move darn sarf.

There were a couple of rumours floating round the internet today that you bid £10m for Baines
