We are not a good side. How many games have we scraped a win? Don't get me wrong, I hope we scrape a few more and win promotion, get sold and get on the road to recovery but at the minute we are not good, not the best team in the division, not even the second best. I would seriously worry about us if we finished third, which is a distinct possibility.

I’ve just watched a game, where in my opinion (and football is all about opinions) both teams showed more passion, more commitment and more energy than I’ve seen from a Newcastle team in a long while ……. and it wasn’t a good game. You just keep on telling yourself we’re okay and be careful boiling your piss it’ll stain your mams pans.

How does Boro vs Sheffield United tell you anything about how good either team are in comparison to us? Honestly makes me laugh this kind of s***. Well Teasy, Boro had a bit of pace to them, Johnson looked good wide, Yeates too. Sheffield just looked strong from front to back and both teams played with a lot more energy than we have shown recently. Look, I'm a fucking fan but I'm telling you we are in the shit here and if we are not very careful we'll be straight down. Lift your head out from that hole in the fucking sand you've got it stuck in.

At every opportunity, Ashley has done the worst thing he could possibly do for the club. Whether that is down to incompetence or vindictiveness, I don't know. My faith in the human spirit makes me want to think it is just incompetence, but Christ, you really do have to ask yourself how anyone could thing that the situation now is in anyway protecting his investment (and I choose that criteria as it is the one thing which he should be worried about, even if he doesn't really give a s*** about the club beyond that). It really beggars belief. When you went down, I thought if you managed to keep hold of a nucleus of half decent players (for that level) and indulged in some sensible purchasing you'd come straight back on, you'd be a stick on for it. But looking at what has happened since, and looking at some of the other decent clubs in that division next season, I really do fear for you. The tragedy of it all is that - to an outside observer - it actually does look like it has happened by design, and not through circumstances. Have to agree. Just watched the Boro game tonight and although it was a shite game, I got the feeling that both teams had more than enough to turn us over. Sadly, I reckon we could be looking at the drop again. The guy has almost killed the club, whether by design or by total ineptitude (I strongly suspect the later) and I too honestly fear for us this season. How much will we be worth to him as a League 1 side?

Except he's been replaced by the income from the sale. Of course if Oba was only valued at say £5m in the £100m the price has just gone up by about £4m That's if the income of the sale hasn't gone to pay off MA's loan ....... I wouldn't put it past him.
