  1. Wouldn't be too surprised if the Saudi's have some influence over what's posted on there like, in terms of generating PR in America/other English speaking countries.
  2. I kinda want it though, just for how funny it would be.
  3. Dunno why anyone would believe HTT like, should've been obvious it was bullshit when the post contained less than one hundred million characters.
  4. I'd imagine a) the original "Wednesday" estimate was just that, and/or b) the PL are dragging their heals a bit to make the whole thing look more thorough, and probably seeking some assurances about the fight against piracy going forward.
  5. Fucking hell, thought there'd be something worth reading when I saw this thread had moved 8 pages since I last looked.
  6. Nobody has confirmed that the tests were completed or passed.
  7. On what basis - firm, concrete basis - should it be done by now? Bloke on twitter said so
  8. It's literally nothing like last summer, in that the bid is actually real.
  9. They don’t seem convinced Most of that is just a summary of everything we already know. The only relevant bit is this:
  10. everyone needs to chill like. Even if the premier league checks are done (I doubt the PL will announce this due to furore around it), money still needs to change hands and there's probably other formalities to tie up. They're not going to announce anything before all of that is done.
  11. This has got to be it really. It doesn't make sense for Ashley to create a "fakeover", it doesn't change anything at all with the Saudi bid if it's already with the premier league, deposit paid etc.
  12. Never imagined that Mike Ashley finally being replaced would actually be more of a ballache than watching the football under his regime like
  13. Is there an appeals process for the fit and proper test? If there is I could see the FA pulling a pantomime initial rejection subject to appeal just to look like they're doing something.
  14. That’s not because it’s us though. Look at the list of people. Bruce has mates all over the media, same as Pardew and same as Ashley. It’s not them against us it’s them supporting that type of person, remember how Ranieri got hammered after the title season and they loved Shakespeare, Pearson and allardyce are loved wherever they go. Pulis was hated at stoke and West brom but their fans were constantly told how good he was fair points
  15. I think the persecution complex is sometimes justified. It would be incorrect to claim that certain members of the media haven't been complete cunts towards the club and fanbase over subjects like Pardew, Ashley, Rafa and Bruce over the years. In this case I don't think it applies. Any club would be facing scrutiny over this deal.
  16. Our fanbase will certainly change. I'm personally looking forward to the days of fans of individual superstar players pretending to support us again, like GhoeberX with his weird Kluivert obsession.
  17. Certain posters are obsessed with discussions like this; it's become more of a sport to get their point across over and over and over. It's almost like they love the drama of it all. I wish I could bring myself to be in opposition to the Saudi takeover because I know it almost certainly makes me a worse human being that I'm not. My heart just wants Ashley's mentality out of the club. It's never been about Ashley himself for me, and it's not about the Saudi's themselves. It's about the mentality, the approach the club takes on the pitch, and in that sense the takeover is a no brainer.
  18. I don't particularly like Keys, but what I think he's saying is he would be critical of any club because of the Saudi links, but he'd rather it wasn't Newcastle as he knows he'll get accused of sprouting that stuff purely out of dislike for us. I think.

They're all much of a muchness.

What a load of shite that first tweet is man Sums up his tactics in a nutshell - give it to those two and hope something happens, if it doesn't they need to improve - nothing to do with the tactical set up of the team. Almiron and ASM have got no chance of regularly getting goals and assists when they're breaking from their own box and the rest of the team is lagging 30 yards behind them if and when they reach a dangerous position. Our transitional play is the worst I've ever seen from a Newcastle team - up there with the worst I've ever seen at this level full stop. For a team with some decently pacey players on the flanks and at wing-back it's a spectacular achievement how undynamic we are as a unit.
  21. That’ll be me, has ample time to deal with that. Aye, nowt to do with the diabolical defending like
