We'll re-open this later in the year when he's genuinely sacked.

Indeed... Just as a poor midfield can make a defence look weak, a lacking forward line can completely stifle the creativity of a midfield. It isn't a coincidence that since Carroll was sold/Best got injured we haven't really dominated a game.
-
For all of those similarities, the biggest difference is the performance-to-expectation levels from both clubs this season.

Absolutely choked at the fact that the shirt is part of his chin.
-
I'd like to think he'll be more expansive with it than that.
-
Money. Money? If they played him they would have owed Watford money, and they couldn't afford to so he never played. No, I think it was just money.

Stopped reading at "Williamson - 6.5"... Lad was immense today. Was no better than Colo and that idiotic suicide tackle on Nani cost him half a point. He won a few top-drawer tackles and headers. Thought he out-did Colo today personally.

Doesn't mean much like, especially considering Madrid had a player sent off with a decent chunk of the match left. Barcelona spent a lot of time in the first half at least just passing it around the middle third of the pitch. And ultimately the match was drawn anyway. Well yeah, but a draw was more than enough for Barcelona given the teams' respective positions in the table. Why would they take unnecessary risks when they could just keep the ball for the majority of the match and take a point? The CL games will be very different.

The Gol Tv commentary with the American and the excitable mackem fella is the most entertaining.

He wouldn't have the tactical knowledge to know how to go about it. All he knows is how to contain teams and grind out wins. How did they end up with that +50 goal difference then? Not that hard when the rest of La Liga is p**s poor in comparison. They'd do the same in the Premier league. I don't think it'd be that high, but it would be sizable I agree. The weaker teams in England are considerably worse than the weaker teams in Spain tbh.

Barcelona don't need to win, Madrid do. Barca have been far more reserved than normal.
-
Go along with that. Milan were better defensively but Barca are awesome going forward. Would have been a superb match. Aye. Would have been class to see Maldini, Baresi, Costacurta and Tassotti up against Barcelona's attacking finesse. People underrate the attacking class that that Milan side had as well though. They were the complete team.

The early-90s Milan side were the closest I've seen to them in my lifetime.

Funny, the massive gap between our midfield and our strikers makes me realise he isn't...

An well trusted source of information. The same one that said Adam Johnston was going to sign? Nah that was me winding everyone up for a little bit of revenge on here for unfounded remarks about my mental health. "Cunts are calling me a psychotic murderer, I'll prove them wrong by chopping them up".

Xavi and Iniesta were "superb", Wilshere was the best of a bad bunch of Arsenal players on the day.

I was going to say, I thought it had happened last night too.
-
Fuck it, let's play all of them.

Looks more like a winger to me. His positioning and physique don't really resemble a full-back.

I don't think Campbell was to blame for the goal - Richardson should never have had that much space to pick out a cross, and it ended up being a very difficult one to defend. Lovenkrands is definitely the weak link, he just contributes nothing whatsoever.
