I've seen some "surprising" thread titles in my time, but this one takes the prize by a million miles.

Possibly the worst thread on this forum ever No.

Is that a new rule? Yeah, we felt like it had been too long since we stamped our authority around here.

6 words and an entire article extrapolated about it, but does anyone know what interview that quote came from. Exactly. "It's no dream of mine" -- no shit. I'm sure every player in the squad would say the same thing, if asked... It's hardly a statement of his desire to get out ASAP.

The NE5 line was a touch of brilliance tbf James. Well done.

You're not alanshearer, you fraud, your username is wrong. Are you the Andy? No, hence the capital letter. If I was the Andy I would have called myself andy.

I have had to take a 10% pay cut due to the current climate. Surely this applies to football just as much as most other industries at the moment, probably even more so. And that is before we even move onto the fact that you got relegated. Despite of the current climate I've just had a 20% raise. Nice! Was that as a result of your goal and performance last night?

Of course not, but I have no expectation or reason to display loyalty to my employer and nor do I earn in a week what most people earn in a year. Thus my situation doesn't even border on being comparable or relevant.

I have a question; if habibbeye was offered a pay cut to stay at Newcastle for the rest of his career, and Shearer was made boss and the club showed sufficient ambition to get back into the top flight, how likely do you think it would be that habibbeye would accept said pay cut if there were financially slightly-better offers on the table from other clubs?

In all seriousness, much as we'd love to help, how many people on here do you think have owned and lost French passports? I'm an expert on such matters actually. 1 in 2971 are not good odds. He got lucky.

Are you a good swimmer?

Was that Pierce Brosnan or Timothy Dalton? Oliver Reed iirc.

excuse me? I think that is what you call a pre-ban. It is like a pre-date only it is a ban. i've only been banned once and that was for calling someone a c***. see the house of the banned i've never had a previous log in Shame you bothered coming back after the ban tbh Mate that is well out of line. Absoloutely no need for that whatsoever. You might not agree with all his posts but he's still a Newcastle fan and those kind of comments are unwaranted on this site. Having read wshmag's posts, which frankly have ranged between embarrassing wind-uppery and sheer outright idiocy in pretty much even numbers, I'm inclined to respectfully disagree.

Can imagine it would be amazingly fun to play, but horrible to watch after the novelty has worn off.

And here's me doing it for free. Pay up Dave.

Shit quoting AND comprehension. Well, to be fair, Phil either got his Maths wrong in his first list or his second list... So not really

Aside from the one's mentioned, Robert scoring the 3rd at Highbury - ending our London jinx and sending us to the top of the premiership - was a pretty special moment.

Pretty sure the extent of the damage can be estimated on the basis of probability (i.e. the extent of emotional damage caused, in this case), but the issue of whether racial slurs were used would need to be proven beyond reasonable doubt before it could go any further, just like in a criminal law case.

A lack of financial input in the transfer market couldn't even remotely be excluded from a list of "problems we had last season". We all knew that the squad needed strengthening, and yet it wasn't -- it was weakened.
-
Aye, spending the sort of money the club could no longer afford to. What a boy. Yeah, whereas the current regime's solution of spending only the money that the club could afford was a fucking resounding success, wasn't it?
-
Shepherd's most prolific idiocy came in his appointment and handling of managers, and truthfully I don't think you'd have that problem if Shearer was in charge. In terms of ambition etc, and willingness to spend money he was pretty great.

Interesting... So you reckon he'd choose NUFC ahead of Senegal then, in the instance that we decide to keep him?
