Still a more logical belief than Keith Bishop as some cut rate Moriarty controlling everything from the shadows. Does anyone genuinely think that? Valid question.
-
If this takeover actually goes through, godzilla deserves some sort of "true believer" custom status. His loyalty to our future benefactors is insane infuriating admirable.
-
Fuck me, I was happy to get 21/1
-
Yup, got my ass to the bookies, picked up some popcorn on the way home
-
If tens of thousands of fans are renewing to save their loyalty points, then it's not a "small" sacrifice, is it? NUST are responding to a concern many fans have expressed - there's no need to do anything but applaud, really.
-
Am 1000% convinced you are right. "No offer currently on the table", wasn't it? Meaning there was one, Ashley said no and since then nothing.
-
That takes some kind of balls
-
That Bordeaux sponsor
-
He’d have to be backing his chances to start with Diame and (surely) Hayden off?
-
I was devastated to lose Rafa, and I thought that killed my love for the club. But this still hurt, even though it’s been coming Thanks Mike, you cunt.

I see you have forgotten to account for wages and agents fees. Say, 7 players for £100m = £14.3m each (so perhaps £8m transfer fee, £3m agents fee, £3.3m in wages). Simples Don’t know why everyone doesn’t do it, Mike
-
Wouldn't surprise me if Ashley appointed Dawson just to shaft those Toon fans who lumped on Redfearn getting the gig
-
Notice that article values Ayoze at £16m...
-
Yeah, if fees meant anything, then you'd be disappointed with 30m - he has a 40-50m player in him, we've all seen it. But fees don't mean shit, so I'd be happy to believe the initial 16m stories...
-
That was why I believed the no-mark Hudson story - seemed right up Ashley's street
-
He's got it in his head (as do a number of our fans) that the Championship is a doddle and coming back up is as natural as the sunrise. But both times we did that was a coming together of lucky circumstances. That won't happen this time. We're a shambles and does anyone think Mike Ashley is going to appoint a man who can rectify that? (Without even going into "What is the point" argument)
-
After being named NUFC manager?
-
I'm sure the first transfer rumour regarding Ayoze was Valencia activating a 25m release clause - at the time I was hopeful of Rafa staying and a takeover going through (!), so I distinctly remember news of a release clause.

By all accounts he’s a well grounded down to earth kid. I rate him, but all ego and self confidence aside I’d be thinking let’s get in 2 years of first team football at Newcastle, become the main man, get some injury free consistency, get into the England squad and get a cap even, and develop nicely under a less pressurised environment and then move. It’s all up to him of course, but a move to Man Utd is just as or more likely to curtail his development and experience than enhance it right now. Look at Jordan Henderson and Carrick for example. It’s not as if Man Utd are going to fast track him towards silverware or playing in a top team, even if they were at that level which they aren’t. If he does move, hopefully he gets into the team, plays every week and becomes a top player with success coming his way. He's more talented than Henderson IMO, but very raw. Anything less than 25m would be a joke, still it all goes into the club’s pockets so anything that gives Rafa... oh wait! I'll have what he's having Mate, I know you've been away, but there's this guy called Mike Ashley... If Rafa was here, or a takeover looked likely, I'd be spitting blood. In fact, I've half a mind to buy a Longstaff away top from 18/19 as a sort of bookend for my love affair with the club. EDIT: Not mocking your rating of the lad - I think he's the bomb too. Just the staying here bit, just mocking that bit
-
Only surprising part of that is he doesn't want to leave.
-
Considering how he looked next to Rondon, you’d have to think he could make a fist of playing with Vardy.
-
Plus Hayden and Lejeune. If Leicester sell Maguire, they’ll have a big cheque and a hole to fill. Wonder if Ayoze will recommend one of our back three?
-
I’m feeling the opposite - now Rafa has gone I’m starting to care less. Ayoze has been my favourite player for a long time, the first shirt I got since Robert. I woke up to read he was going and I wasn’t devastated; I was glad for the lad. He was always going to leave if Rafa did (and by some reports, even if he stayed). What player would stay here?
-
I’m not feeling the “worse” part - both of the previous relegations were of significantly more talented teams that many thought “too good to go down” or that there were “three worse teams”. We go into this season everyone’s choice for 20th spot. It’s going to be a nine month parade of shite. But raging against Ashley’s team, or Ashley’s manager - what’s the point? I’m going to hur-hur at Ashley with all the hate of an alt-right troll, laughing as the fat cunts reaps what he has so deliberately sown.
-
Word. I don’t know about doubts lurking in shadows, but Redfearn is certainly the man most likely. Don’t believe Martinez would leave Belgium, don’t believe Ashley would pay compensation for anyone, don’t believe anyone who agreed to come here under Ashley should be given one iota of respect.
