I bought into the "form over favourites" stuff from Capello, but he's just done the same as Sven. Fucking Heskey, SWP and Carrick in the squad is ridiculous. They've all had awful seasons. Adam Johnson would have been a better bet than SWP and is a genuine alternative to J Cole, who also has had a poor season. Very disappointing.

I am completely of the opinion that against decent opposition, Heskey will be a completely pointless entity. Exactly, it's not like Heskey even uses what he has well, or intelligently. A half decent defender will know exactly what to do to nullify him. He looks alright against these shocking eastern European sides but up against anyone past the group stage he'll struggle.

Crouch can do that job and is actually a goal threat, I'd rather two strikers up front capable of scoring rather than one with another just there to cause a nuisance. Which then means the midfield is relied on a lot more which is dodgy. Would have Walcott off the bench over J Cole. SWP is shite.

Leaving Walcott out is a joke of a decision.

So the burden is just pushed more onto Rooney if Heskey plays, great.
