  1. 12 days till our next league game. Hate waiting for a game after we've had a bad result.
  2. If those two or three included two new central midfielders and a striker then I think we could.
  3. I know I'm only picking up on a small amount of your post but I thought Smith & Nolan were both diabolical tonight. Their midfield had 60 yards of free space in front of them every time they broke from the back. A 7 was generous for Nolan, probably - but not for Smith i'd say. Derby hardly came here to attack but Smith breaks up the play so well in this division and actually generates some forward momentum. He's meant to play deep - the full-backs have a chance to overlap and he passes the ball in a forward direction. It's good retaining of possession. I honestly don't know what role Nolan plays. "The guy who scores quite a bit" is about the only label i can give him. I thought Smith was appalling when they were playing down our right hand side in the first half and 3 of them were playing triangles around R Taylor and Simpson, but Smith still refused to leave the D on the edge of the 18 yard box to help out or break up those attacks. He is primarily responsible for the fact that we sit too deep and invite teams on because he himself sits too deep when the opposition have the ball. Whether that's as a result of instructions he's been given or a choice he's making himself is another matter though. Said this to my mate, Smith thinks the way to play as a defensive midfielder is to stand in front of the two centre backs and try to block shots, Nolan does the exact same thing as well. Which meant Derby got down the channels easily, that good chance they had in the first half when Colo rushed out, that man who crossed it should have been Smiths or Nolans but he was just left to run, meaning Colo had a decision to make when he should have just held on to his man. Thick as fuck the pair of them. Nolan should be played off the striker or not at all.
  4. We're still unorganised as fuck, massive gaping holes all over the pitch. Derby got at our defence with ease whenever they wanted. We don't defend from the front either, which means anyone with an ounce of ability will rip us apart. I honestly think we'll get beaten off WBA in a few weeks.
  5. Shit performance. But we should have still won, still managed to grind out 2 clear opportunities (Both Taylors) and one of them should have gone in. One reason we didn't win that today apart from the missed chances = Smith and Nolan in the centre in a 442, absolutely shocking. Especially Nolan, he should be played off the striker or not at all, the midfield was nonexistent for periods in the first half and for the whole second half. Pathetic from Hughton that Guthrie didn't even get on at all when Nolan was clearly running on empty from about 55 mins. Furious that Nolan and Smith completed the 90 together.
  6. Both looking good after dodgy starts. Now need us to win... Think I can guess what might happen from here... FFS. Won £18.50 but would have won £45 if we'd won and £70 odd if we'd one by more than one.

  8. Knew Shola would be dropped, as if he could start this after playing on saturday, looking forward to seeing Carroll and Loven together.
  9. £18 on a lucky 15, including us, Forest, Spurs and Everton. £2 on Spurs -1, Toon -1, Everton -1 and Bournemouth.
  10. I'd have loved to have seen him next to Faye, I think against the bigger strikers he struggles, but with the smaller technical ones he's very good. Problem was last season he always got turned far too easily and didn't have the pace to get back. When we defend deep he is at his best imo.
  11. Would have been a foul at home, it's one of those.
  12. Was directly behind Blackstock's header today, was in all the way but was a brilliant save. Seems very reluctant to come off his line though.
  13. We should go all out for Cleverley, off Man Utd. Every time I've seen him he's been outstanding, even today when the game in general was drab he was the one who looked most likely to do something. He's got it all, good shot, good vision, pace on and off the ball, uses it intelligently and can pick out the killer pass. Looks a massive prospect imo.
  14. Can you not read words properly? I said Ameobi won't be fit enough to start a game 50 odd hours after playing his last, especially after returning after a long lay off. READ, YOU HEAR ME, READ TILL THE END.
  15. Harper R Taylor S Taylor Colo Kadar Pancrate Guthrie Smith Lua Lua Carroll Lovely This is on monday btw, I think a few could do with a rest, namely Nolan, Simpson, Enrique and Jonas. No way is Ameobi fit enough to start this after today's game. It's a risk, but with those left out on the bench ready to come on i think we'll be fine. Derby are shit as well. 2-0 win. Carroll x2.
  16. Forest were wank today, can't see them sustaining a good enough run throughout the season to trouble the automatic spots. Watford weren't great and kept them out with relative ease.
  17. Guthrie should start in the middle, easily our most creative player. Not bad, didn't get see anything bar the final 15, but it's not the end of the world. Defence went to sleep for their first. Harewood and Shola is fail for me. Shola's our top boy up front and we've got decent enough options to supplement with Carroll, Ranger, Lovely and Nolan. Don't think we'll miss Harewood if he goes.
  18. Ronaldo will be all over you like a rash now you've brought Lampard into it. Good luck.
  19. I agree that Cambiasso is better than Mascherano, the latter dives in a lot and makes a lot of full blooded challenges, but the amount of interceptions and second balls Cambiasso receives is immense. Much better with the ball at his feet as well. Bullard over Mascherano is bit though Juniatmoko mate.
  20. Us, WBA and QPR to go up via the play offs. They've got a big squad which will work in their favour in the long run.
  21. Yay, I'm still hoping long term Steven Taylor will fill that position and we'll get in another centre back to replace him, but Simpson would be good as back up.
