  1. We could do worse, then again we could still do better imo. He's alright, but one of those that gets the best out of a shit team rather than being able to take a club like us to the next level. No thanks.
  2. Pavlyucenko will score set up by a great ball from Modric. Modric is injured, plus Pavlyucenko went off injured today I think. Bentley will score set up by a great ball from Dos Santos.

  4. I would go with something similar to that, cant afford any more injuries to key players.Match against Blackburn is a huge one for us Blackburn game was in my thinking too. The defence however looks like a disaster waiting to happen.
  5. Harper Geremi Cacapa Taylor Bassong Duff(ugh) Butt(ugh) Gonzalez Zog Xisco Oba Sub: Owen, Given, Shola, Colo, Beye, Lua Lua, Ranger
  6. They should put Howard Webb in charge of all the big games. Riley's a dickhead.

  8. I went to this joke of a game today, and I think you have got it absolutely spot on. Must be in the minority then, I thought Duff played well after the first 15mins. Colo wasnt nearly as bad as your making out and is still finding his feet in the league, having the snails infront protecting the back four and the complete bilge on either full back flank we had today would make Ferdinand or Terry look like Boumsong. As someone earlier stated Edgar is worse than Ramage and has half his pace! Xisco looked good holding up play but lacks the edge coming forward, some of his lay offs were great, working alongside fatty viduka when he is back will do him wonders. Thought Butt was wasteful again, alongside a LB a replacement for Butt is priority come January. Cacapa played well but like Geremi is limited due to his woeful lack of pace, despite showing decent creativity. I cant understand why Bassong isnt starting, Nacho looked lightweight when he came on but might be a better bet for Weds than sticking with Cacapa and Butt. There were two teams for the taking today, unfortunatley West Ham had the positive edge having appointed Zola, whilst we are very much in limbo. We could have easily had two penalties courtesy of Scott Parker and a free kick right on the edge, none of which were given. It was never going to be our day after the luck we had for the first goal. I have seen us play much worse, I'm not concerned in the slightest about the team, the passing and forward thinking football is still leagues ahead of what we are used pre Keegan (2nd coming), we had some great link up play at times but struggled to convert, we miss someone running through the middle, hopefully Nacho can step up to that. Its strained at the moment but we have half our first team injured. Its imperative however we get in someone experienced in charge to turn the negativity around and get the players lifted. The club will be set up nicely when the injured return over the next 3 weeks and whoever takes over really only needs a handful of quality players in January to push us drastically forward. Getting a manager in (even interim) will be enough to swing the players spirits back to winning ways. The problem is finding the right person and soon.
  9. I'd have Bassong or Cacapa in there ahead of Taylor. I can't justify having him in the team anymore simply for the fact 'he might improve sooner or later', he's shit, get him out the team.
  10. He has reportedly asked for over £400m for us. No one will give him that but he'll stick it until he gets what he wants and that could take years. With 50k in the ground, he'll be getting cash in to hold the stance. A low crowd will hit him in the pocket and with the team performance what it is (no confidence with no leadership at all) we'll drop behind 4th bottom and with the prospect of a relegation, loss of Sky cash, sponsorship dropping off and the threat of a massive number not renewing for next season, his price will drop to an amount where someone will take the punt on us. If you look at the programme, you'll see the sponsors pulling away from shirt sponsorship etc already. The guy who sponsors Viduka's shirt was called 4 times last week to take on additional sponsorship. He refused and threatened to pull the plug on his current deal unless they backed off. We need things getting tight for Ashley to cut and run. I think you're over estimating your importance to the club, in financial terms.
  11. I don't understand the point of not going now? He says he's got the message, what would you be trying to achieve by not going?
  12. Given 5 Edgar 4 Colo 6 Taylor 4 Zog 5 Duff 5 Geremi 6 Butt 5 Cacapa 5 Owen 6 Xisco 6 Bassong 6
  13. Have you ever thought you might be like a bad talisman? I witnessed a goal today, the tide is turning me lad, the tide is turning.
  14. My last 5 attended games results: 3-0 loss. 3-0 loss. 3-0 loss. 3-0 loss. 3-1 loss. Getting better. Seriously though, West Ham were just as shit as we were, we could have easily won. Owen should have scored but he chose to head it instead of kick it. Countless decent crosses into the box weren't attacked and the whole team is fucking shot shy. Any lingering hopes of Taylor improving have been smashed today, honestly, their second goal, fuck me, he just stood watching it in the box while someone collected it and then got done by the most obvious bit of 'skill' ever. Atmosphere was good, anyone else down the left side? My head killing me and my voice has gone. If we were full strength we would have beaten them. Definitely.

    Michael Owen

I highly doubt he's been dithering, he's never wanted to sign the contract, imo.

  17. We can get top half still, a lot depends on injuries, we need the likes of Jonas, Owen, Oba fit every week to do it. But our first 11 is easily top 10 standard, especially if Gonzalez turns out to be a player.
  18. Quality goal that from Everton!
  19. Whoa what? What channel?
  20. -----------Given Taylor---Colo---Cacapa---Bassong ----Geremi---Butt---Gonzalez--- ---------Owen-----Zog------- ---------------Xisco--------------- Not that bad. But the bench is terrible.

  23. I always go right off football totally whenever we're really in the shit, but i'm determined not to let it affect me this time. Looking forward to to the Man Utd game, Villarreal could make it a decent game.
