It's not his position (midfield) what were people expecting him to do against a Derby brick wall who were playing very well in fairness. he's not the type of player who will create something in a tight pocket, he's a striker being played out of position. For him to be mentioned in this thread is harsh imo.

I dunno. Strikers tend to look shitter than defenders because they have to create something and it often doesn't work. Therefore a shit defender is shitter so babayaro.

This annoyed me aswell, right at the end for example, the ball is hit into Ameobi and he miscontrolles it, but into space. Noone in sight. what the fuck.

Viduka & Owen. Our problem last season was the ball was coming back to the defence and midfield too quickly as Martins, Dyer, Sib etc couldn't hold it up. Viduka is good at holding the ball up and gives us a presence up there that Owen thrives on. I like Martins but it's Viduka and Owen all day for me. For example tonight I would start Viduka (if fit) and Owen, then use Oba as sub and instruct to him to run the channels and lines to pull their already tired defence out and leave space for Owen.

Did you see the game at all? I did and thought Vorinin put in a good shift. Crouch is awful. I thought Andy Grey hit the nail on the head when he said if you weant to rest your key players you do it by bringing them off after 55 minutes or so. Not the other way round.
