Mickey Owen would never score with his head. The ball has to be inch perfect basically. Owen would capitalise on about 1 cross out of 5 Milner would put in. Maybe a tad generous even.

I think he's easily good enough for us. The only thing is he often has nothing to aim at (well our strikers aren't the best in the air) so when he puts balls across they seem wasted. I'd like to see him participate in open play a bit more, little one two's to get in behind, running the channels that sort of thing. More often than not when he picks up the ball he is immediately looking to create a yard and then cross. Would just like him to add a tad more variety to his game, that would make him one of our most exciting players. That's the difference between him and say, Bentley. When Bentley picks up the ball you know he could whip a good cross in, go on a little run and commit a few players or cut in and have a shot. that's the difference between a good player (milner) and a match winning player (bentley). He has got the potential imo to develop these things so that's why im more than happy with him.

i think we have a top class winger in Damien Duff it remains to be seen whether BSA can get him back to his mercurial best. not sure if he can play on both flanks though. Duff's comeback has gone under the radar a bit recently imo. Really looking forward to seeing if he can get back to his best. Imagine if he can, my word we'd be formidable If we add a centre midfield creator to that - not far off a regular champions league standard squad.

Young has done brilliantly to be in the England squad. Remember seeing him for Watford at the start of last season and has improved loads over 1 year. Well done that man.
