very pleased with what he had to say - intelligent manager - will install a good team spirit - feeling very optimisitic - though it may take some time. Unlike the last 2 appointments, which were never gonna work however long you gave them, I am willing to be patient with Sam because I feel we have appointed the right man and will have success with him.

when there was speculation last week about Dyer being a target for Spuds, Alan Brazil on Talksport was pissing himself laughing that Dyer was on nearly half a million quid a month (£350K) - true though, that's an obscene amount for someone who has only occasionally delivered - good old Souness and FF.
